What you'll see and do
Bishkek
Your tour begins with a morning pickup in Bishkek, heading east toward the historic Burana Tower. The drive takes you through a mix of city outskirts, open fields, and small villages, offering a glimpse of local life beyond the capital. As we follow the road along the Kazakhstan border, you’ll have the chance to admire the stunning Tien Shan mountains on the horizon, weather permitting. Along the way, we’ll pass through Tokmok, a former Soviet industrial hub, where traces of its past can still be seen in old monuments and architecture. Moving further into the countryside, the landscape becomes more scenic, with rolling hills and vast open spaces leading to the ancient minaret of Burana, a fascinating remnant of the once-thriving Karakhanid civilization.

Burana Tower
At Burana Tower, our guests will have the opportunity to explore the historical 11th-century minaret, once part of the ancient city of Balasagun on the Silk Road. Climbing to the top of the 25-meter tower offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Chüy Valley and the distant Tian Shan mountains. Surrounding the tower, guests will find ancient balbal stone statues—Turkic gravestones with intricate carvings that are over 1,000 years old. Guests can also admire prehistoric petroglyphs, featuring rock carvings of animals and symbols. A small archaeological museum on-site displays artifacts such as pottery, coins, and tools from the ancient city, providing a deeper insight into Kyrgyzstan’s rich cultural heritage.

Konorchek Canyons
The Konorchek Canyon hike begins near the Red Bridge in Boom Gorge. From here, you’ll follow a dried riverbed into a surreal landscape of towering red sandstone cliffs and narrow gorges. The trail takes about one hour one way and includes a few rocky barriers that add a touch of adventure—exciting but manageable for active travelers. Along the way, you’ll pass through twisting paths and sculpted formations, eventually reaching the famous Eolian Castles, where the wind has carved dramatic spires and shapes into the canyon walls. At the top, a panoramic plateau offers breathtaking views of the canyons and distant mountains. If the wind picks up, you might hear the natural “singing rocks,” a unique sound created by the wind moving through narrow gaps in the cliffs. This short but rewarding hike is one of the most impressive natural sights in Kyrgyzstan.

I do not recommend. The tour itinerary needs to be restructured. Also the "guide" needs to understand that hes a guide. First stop - the tower, this was great. No complaint. Second stop - roadside restaurant for food. No view of Boom gorge. Third stop - the hike in full stomach. The guide wasn't there to guide, he was just there to hike himself. He just kept going without guiding so we got lost. He would call us from somewhere but he wont be there when we get there. This repeated. After that I had enough. Last stop was the lake before coming back. At that point I asked how much time do we have here and where to meet. It got to a point where I was fact checking what the guide was explaining and providing Kyrgyzstan flag meaning to fellow tour team members because the guide wasnt.

Very nice one day trip from Bishkek
Very good one day tour from Bishkek. I was lucky to be with Nurali, who was a competent guide and a good driver with a good car. I think the itinerary was diverse and well created, combining history, culture, natural wonders and cuisine of the country.

Fantastic full day...
Fantastic full day experience. Sites visited are beautiful, and the guide is knowledgeable and made the longer drives very easy. The hike is relatively long, but worth it for the views as the end.

All in One Day Konorchek Canyon Issyk Kul Lake and Burana Tower: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bishkek.
How much does All in One Day Konorchek Canyon Issyk Kul Lake and Burana Tower cost?
+
Prices start at $130 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bishkek usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does All in One Day Konorchek Canyon Issyk Kul Lake and Burana Tower take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bishkek is not rushed.
Is All in One Day Konorchek Canyon Issyk Kul Lake and Burana Tower worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 46 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Bishkek, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule All in One Day Konorchek Canyon Issyk Kul Lake and Burana Tower?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is All in One Day Konorchek Canyon Issyk Kul Lake and Burana Tower suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book All in One Day Konorchek Canyon Issyk Kul Lake and Burana Tower?
+
Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bishkek can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bishkek and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does All in One Day Konorchek Canyon Issyk Kul Lake and Burana Tower start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bishkek within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bishkek?
+
On Outty we rank every Bishkek experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-Inclusive Day Trip: Burana, Canyons & Issyk Kul with Pickup, 2-Day Issyk Kul Small Group Tour with Yurt Stay and Eagle Show, Ala Archa Nature Park Essential Half Day Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bishkek?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bishkek?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
