To see the best of Athens and more.

Andreas our guide and driver was exceptional. Knowledgable and curteous. The day was long but we saw everything we wanted. He seemed to go above and beyond. His vehicle was immacilate too. The only thing missing was the sunset. That was not our guides fault, the timing of the trip was just not feasable.

Response from the operator: Hello from Athens!!!!Thank you very much for your kind review. We are delighted to hear that you had such a positive experience with Andreas. His knowledge, courtesy, and commitment to providing high-quality service are greatly appreciated, and we are pleased that you were able to see everything you had planned for the day. We also appreciate your note regarding the timing such as sunset views.Your feedback is valuable, and we hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again to Greece in the future. Many thanks, Marina

Short of time in Athens, do this tour, plus extra

Fantastic tour, guide Andreas was exceptional, polite, knowledgible and courteous. Only issue was the title of tour states "sunset at Poseidon temple", it did not. Timing had us arrive there around 4pm. But otherwise tour was still great.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your wonderful review and for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour and that Andreas provided such exceptional service. Your kind words mean a great deal to us. We would also like to thank you for your feedback regarding the sunset at the Temple of Poseidon. We are sorry that the timing did not allow you to experience the sunset as you had expected. Since the tour schedule can be adjusted according to each guest's preferences and available time, we generally rely on the information provided during the booking process. Had we known that seeing the sunset was a priority, we would have been more than happy to adjust the schedule accordingly. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Your feedback helps us improve and reminds us to discuss this point more carefully with future guests. We truly appreciate your comments and hope to welcome you back to Greece again in the future. Kind regards, Marina

    Temple of Poseidon and more

Fantastic half day private tour with Andreas to the Cape Sounio area was a relaxing escape from busy Athens driving along the beautiful coast arriving at the Temple of Poseidon which was perched on the tip with gorgeous views Andreas chose the perfect spot for lunch. Delicious seafood and amazing views. This was our second tour with Andreas and again he made the day memorable. We absolutely loved Greece and hope to return and discover more with his help.

Response from the operator: Hello from Greece Athens Taxi!!! We are very happy that you chose us for your second tour of Cape Sounio. Our proposal was the best for a relaxing nearby excursion outside of Athens. We hope to see you again in our country to visit other wonderful places. Best regards, Konstantinos Tzardas

This tour was the best decision to get to know Athens in a day, Andreas kept an eye on us all the time and was very attentive. It is totally worth the cost and you feel safe at all times. We booked the tour the same day and even though it was Sunday they did their best to make the most of it!

Response from the operator: Hello from Athens!!!! We would like to express our gratitude for your support by choosing our services. We are very happy that you felt safe and comfortable with our driver. We look forward to welcoming you in Athens! Best regards, Marina Apostolou

All Day Athens Highlights & Sunset Tour to the Temple of Poseidon: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does All Day Athens Highlights & Sunset Tour to the Temple of Poseidon cost?

    +

Prices start at $60 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does All Day Athens Highlights & Sunset Tour to the Temple of Poseidon take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is All Day Athens Highlights & Sunset Tour to the Temple of Poseidon worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule All Day Athens Highlights & Sunset Tour to the Temple of Poseidon?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is All Day Athens Highlights & Sunset Tour to the Temple of Poseidon suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book All Day Athens Highlights & Sunset Tour to the Temple of Poseidon?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does All Day Athens Highlights & Sunset Tour to the Temple of Poseidon start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

    +

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
