A great break away from touristy Albufeira
It was a fabulous half a day out with them. Paulo Cabrita was very polite and professional. It was a day well spent away from touristy Albufeira, taking us right through the heart of countryside Algarve. Windmill tour, Paderne castle, Paderne village, springs of Alte, Alte town, Queda do Vigário waterfalls, tasting Medronho (firewater) and honey, learning about cork oak, Carobs, figs, almond and oranges and so much more. Cannot recommend enough! Thanks. Venkatesh Ramakrishnan (UK)
Response from the operator: Thank you for your excellent review! It's a plesure for the entire Zebra Tours team to name out cliente happy. We're glad you enjoyed the hidden SIDE of the Algarve and we'll pass on your satisfaction to Paulo. Have a good trip home! 🙏🦓

An Unforgettable Mountain Adventure in the Algarve with a great guide
In August we had the pleasure of going on the half day private jeep tour in Albufeira. We were so lucky to have Carla Silva as our knowledgeable ,and fun guide. It started out with her picking us up at our hotel she drove an old Land Rover that comfortably fit the four of us and could probably fit more. Two of us in the very back and two I the back . It was not a luxurious ride it was an authentic safari feel to the ride. From the beginning Carla had this great energy, you knew she wanted us to have a great experience. She took us up into the mountains away from the beach area which many people might not even think to do that being in the Algarve but it was so unique, fun and were able to get a sense of the culture of that part of Portugal. We visited a hot spring where we had the option to swim. She took us to a bakery in which we sat and sampled delicious baked goods , we continued to explore the mountain town seeing a church and sampling other produce. The day went on driving the jeep right onto the olive fields, an old castle and finally an old working windmill. Carla had arranged for the windmill caretaker to tour us and explain how it all works. All along the drive Carla was giving us information but she did not just drone on with facts she asked us questions to engage us, ( we had our 22 and 25 year old sons) which it is not always easy to keep their attention - no one was looking at thier phones. They were too busy taking in the sights, trying to answer her questions, feeling the difference between the ripe and non ripe olives, scaling walls at the old castle or feeding ponies cacao pods from the car. We as a family have done many tours all over the world and this was one of our favorites. The day ended with Carla dropping us at one of her favorite restaurants for lunch - in which we enjoyed a delicious meal. If you find yourself in Albufeira Portugal take this tour and ask for Carla- It is quite the adventure.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your review! You are a wonderful family. It was a great pleasure to share the drive through our inland Algarve with you and make your day a unique experience. Great trip, thoroughly recommend
We had an excellent trip, family of 8 so had a private tour with Carla. She was fabulous from start to finish from booking to pick up and the whole tour. She was insightful, knowledgeable, passionate and showed us the real Portugal areas we wouldn’t have found (or been able to drive) on our own. A great day for all ages.
Response from the operator: Oh Vikki, what a wonderful review! It was a great pleasure to accompany you on this tour of the inland Algarve! You are, without exception, a wonderful family! I loved meeting you. My contact information wil always be available, as will Zebra´s, for anything you need about our Algarve. See you soon and kisses to all

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Algarve Half Day Jeep Safari (PRIVATE TOUR): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Faro.
How much does Algarve Half Day Jeep Safari (PRIVATE TOUR) cost?
+
Prices start at $425 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Faro usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Algarve Half Day Jeep Safari (PRIVATE TOUR) take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Faro is not rushed.
Is Algarve Half Day Jeep Safari (PRIVATE TOUR) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 35 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Faro, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Algarve Half Day Jeep Safari (PRIVATE TOUR)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Algarve Half Day Jeep Safari (PRIVATE TOUR) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Algarve Half Day Jeep Safari (PRIVATE TOUR)?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Faro can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Faro and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Algarve Half Day Jeep Safari (PRIVATE TOUR) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Faro within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Faro?
+
On Outty we rank every Faro experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ria Formosa - Boat trip to the 3 Islands: Armona | Culatra Island | Lighthouse, From Faro: Benagil Cave, Marinha & Carvoeiro [Full-Day Tour], Ria Formosa Natural Park and Islands Boat Cruise from Faro. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Faro?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Faro?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
