1. El Alamein War Museum

   The museum is located where one of the most important battles of the Second World War took place in October 1942 between Allied and Axis forces. The Allies chose this region as a retreat to be a defensive line for its important natural phenomena, bordered to the north by the Mediterranean Sea and from the south by the Qattara depression. The Allied forces supported by Egypt were able to defeat the Axis forces and chase them out of Egypt.

2. El Alamein War Cemetery

   We do our respects at the WWII cemetary, where Commonwealth, Greek, Italian, and German soldiers rest.

3. Catacombs Of Kom El Shoqafa

   The Catacombs of Kom El-shokafa which dated from the second century A.D are unique both for their plan and for their decoration which is a mixture of Egyptian and Greco-Roman elements . Excavations in the site started in 1892, but the catacombs were not found until 1900 when by mere chance the falling of a donkey drawing a cart in a pit led to their discovery. The tomb consists of three stories cut in the rock,

4. Pompey's Pillar

   Pompey’s Pillar is a Roman triumphal column in the city of Alexandria, Egypt. It is the largest of its type. In fact, it constructed outside of the imperial capitals of Rome and Constantinople. Pompey’s Pillar Alexandria is the only which known free-standing column in Roman Egypt

5. Citadel of Qaitbay

   Qaitbay Fort Alexandria formulated an important part of the fortification system of Alexandria. It was in the 15th century AC . It situated at the entrance of the eastern harbor on the eastern point of the Pharos Island. It erected on the exact site of the famous Lighthouse of Alexandria. Alexandria Lighthouse was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The lighthouse continued to function until the time of the Arab conquest. Several disasters occurred and the shape of the lighthouse changed to some extent. But it still continued to function. Restoration began in the period of Ahmed Ibn Tulun in 880 H . During the 11th century an earthquake occurred, causing damage to the octagonal part. The bottom survived, but it could only serve as a watchtower. A small Mosque built on the top. In the 14th century there was a destructive earthquake. The whole building completely destroyed. Sultan Al Ashraf Qaitbay fortified the place as part of his coastal defensive edifices. It was against the Turks, who were threatening Egypt in 1480 AC. He built the castle and placed a mosque inside it. Qaitbay Fort Alexandria functioned during most of the Mameluke period, Ottoman period and Modern period.
