Disappointing cycle trail trip
We booked the bike trail on the morning of the tour we weren’t given any information about different trails or why to choose an electric bike so we booked on with manual bikes to then find once collected that we were only to do the Ale trail due to manual bikes and time. If we had wanted to do the trail with rivers and bridges we should have taken electric bikes. We were hugely disappointed. I feel the guy knew that from the moment I got on the tour bus as he knew I was excited to see the trail and cycle the bridges etc … I wouldn’t recommend the Ale trail it’s almost 100% by the road and once in town your 100% on road and even at some parts during the trail. The trail also followed the road almost all the way. Not one mountain or lake or bridge in sight. What a huge disappointment. I think the tour should make it clear to either go early in the day if this is an option or book an electric bike. The shuttle was fine although we weren’t told there is a charge for pick up. We hadn’t planned or wanted this but as same time felt it was encouraged to stop enroute and call for collection if needed. You can also book cushions $4 each again we weren’t offered when booking but could pay the shuttle driver if he had some.

Beautiful day
Absolutely well run and organized self guided eco bike tour We loved this and had such an amazing day cycling around from arrow town back into Queenstown. You take your time it was a rather challenging cycle with some switchbacks on the hill, but we loved it. Highly recommend Canyon brewing to stop and have a pizza and a beer.

The ebikes were...
The ebikes were comfortable and provided enough assistance to ride all the way back to Queenstown. The map provided by the GoingBlue Team was very simple to read and knowing that we could watch for and follow color-coded signs along the way of each route was very helpful.

Great ride and very helpful staff
Really great trail ride - we were glad of the e-bikes in part, as there are some steepish hills. Mostly fairly flat though. Found a decent pint at Arthur's Point. Worth the ride just to see the Millbrook Resort - blingy or what!
