Naturanda cancelled twice and refused all reasonable alternatives — avoid this company

We booked a Naturanda tour through the GoCity Madrid pass and unfortunately had a terrible experience that completely disrupted our travel plans. First, Naturanda cancelled our tour on the day of the activity when we where already at their office, apparently their tour operator was not available anymore. They offered to reschedule, but after accepting a new date, Naturanda cancelled that one as well, the day before due, apparently because there where too few people who booked the tour. Their final “solution” was to move the tour one week later, long after we had left Madrid — an option that is impossible for any traveler and clearly not a real alternative. What makes this worse is that Naturanda flat‑out refused to offer any other options, even though we proactively suggested several alternatives that were: - Available on their website - Similar in price - Operated by Naturanda themselves We asked for: - The wine tour on two different dates shown as available online → refused without explanation. - Their daily tapas tour (€100 vs. our original €90) → refused because “they can fill the spots with other people”. - Their self‑guided tapas tour, still advertised for €50 → refused with the claim that the website is “outdated”, even though it is still publicly displayed. In short: Naturanda cancelled twice, provided no feasible solution, rejected all alternative proposals, and left us without any activity or compensation. We have traveled a lot and rarely encountered such inflexible and unhelpful service. For anyone visiting Madrid, I strongly recommend avoiding Naturanda and choosing a more reliable tour operator.

Response from the operator: Hello, thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are really sorry for the inconveniences and we will like to express our deepest apologies. We will be reviewing this case with our staff to ensure it won't happen again. Kind regards from Madrid.

Alcalá de Henares Private Tour from Madrid: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Madrid.

How much does Alcalá de Henares Private Tour from Madrid cost?

    +

Prices start at $93 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Madrid usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Alcalá de Henares Private Tour from Madrid take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Madrid is not rushed.

Is Alcalá de Henares Private Tour from Madrid worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Madrid, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Alcalá de Henares Private Tour from Madrid?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Alcalá de Henares Private Tour from Madrid suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Alcalá de Henares Private Tour from Madrid?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Madrid can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Madrid and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Alcalá de Henares Private Tour from Madrid start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Madrid within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Madrid?

    +

On Outty we rank every Madrid experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Madrid Essential: Historic Center, Plaza Mayor & Royal Palace, Madrid Walking Tour from Puerta del Sol to Retiro Park, Madrid Oscuro: Torture, Ghosts, Crimes and Legends. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Madrid?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Madrid?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
