Naoto the Akihabara expert
My guide was a lovely man named Naoto Kato, he spoke excellent English and was very easy to work with as far as our exploring. We went to many anime and trading card stores and as I was curious about pachinko we even hit up a palour and I even had a win! Lunch was at an excellent place I'd have never found myself called Niku no Mansei. We walked around and Naoto showed me many landmarks and historical spots. A visit to a cat Cafe on my request and a final stop at a large anime figure shop rounded off the tour. Very happy with the day and recommend Naoto highly.
Response from the operator: Hello dear Guest, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful review! We’re truly delighted to hear that you had such an enjoyable and memorable day with Naoto Kato. It’s great to know that you were able to explore a variety of places that matched your interests — from anime and trading card stores to experiencing pachinko and even winning, which makes it even more fun!. We’re also glad you enjoyed your lunch at Niku no Mansei and had the chance to discover landmarks and historical spots along the way. We love that the tour was tailored to your preferences, including the visit to the cat café and ending the day at an anime figure shop Creating flexible and personalized experiences is exactly what we aim for. Naoto will be very happy to hear your kind words and recommendation — it truly means a lot. Thank you again for choosing Japan Local and Fun Experiences. We hope to welcome you again for another amazing adventure in Japan! Warm regards 🌸

Fun private anime tour!
We had a great time on this tour. The company, Washoku Club, communicated with us a week or so in advance to tailor the tour to our interests. Our guide, Hiromi, was very patient with our group. While the tour was aimed at the anime/manga fan in our family, we all enjoyed astonishing anime and electronic stores and especially our visit to a maid cafe. Hiromi selected a fantastic teppanyaki restaurant that pleased both our beef eaters who love the at-table hibachi, as well as our vegetarians who enjoyed several fresh vegetable selections. We greatly appreciated that Hiromi provided us with pictures that she took along the way.
Response from the operator: Hello our amazing guest, Thank you so much for this wonderful review! It made our day to know that your whole family had such a great time with us! At Japan Local and Fun Experiences, we believe that every tour should feel personal, fun, and full of discoveries—so we’re really happy to hear that you felt that from the very beginning! We're so glad that you enjoyed exploring Akihabara's anime world, the electronic shops, and the unique experience at the maid café! Our guide, Hiromi, truly has a great eye for balancing everyone’s tastes. The photos are our way of helping you keep those joyful moments forever, and we hope they’ll always remind you of your fun time in Japan! We can’t wait to have you back for another exciting tour—maybe our Shibuya Food Tour, Asakusa Food Tour, or Harajuku Food Tour Arigato Nour Japan Local Fun Experiences Team

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Akihabara Flavors and Anime Fun Private Guided Tour for All Ages: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tokyo.
How much does Akihabara Flavors and Anime Fun Private Guided Tour for All Ages cost?
+
Prices start at $87 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tokyo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Akihabara Flavors and Anime Fun Private Guided Tour for All Ages take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tokyo is not rushed.
Is Akihabara Flavors and Anime Fun Private Guided Tour for All Ages worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tokyo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Akihabara Flavors and Anime Fun Private Guided Tour for All Ages?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Akihabara Flavors and Anime Fun Private Guided Tour for All Ages suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Akihabara Flavors and Anime Fun Private Guided Tour for All Ages?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tokyo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tokyo and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Akihabara Flavors and Anime Fun Private Guided Tour for All Ages start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tokyo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tokyo?
+
Tokyo is less a city than a stack of neighborhoods with completely different opening hours. A guided food crawl through Shinjuku's Omoide Yokocho gets you past the no-tourist curtains, while the day trips west to Hakone and Fuji need an early start to be worth the fare. Our ranking weighs guide quality heavily here, because in Tokyo the guide is the product. On Outty we rank every Tokyo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tokyo Shinjuku Chopsticks Making Class, Tokyo : Asakusa Chopsticks Making Class, Shinjuku Night Food and Bar Crawl. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tokyo?
+
Late March to May for blossom, October to November for clear Fuji views. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tokyo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
