Great tour of Aurangabad and the Caves

It was a great pleasure touring the Ajanta & Ellora Caves as well as Aurangabad with Pankaj. Pankaj was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to make sure that my needs were met. I also used Five Senses Tours to book other tours in India and I can recommend them without hesitation.

Sensational tour

Fabulous trip with 5 senses tours and Pankaj our guide. Very well organised and great hotels. Pankaj was very knowledgeable and taught us so much Indian history. We would rate this tour higher than 5 out of 5.

Magnificent Caves, sculpture and paintings

No journey anywhere near the Aurangabad District of Maharashtra State would be complete without a visit to the Ajanta and Ellora caves. These magnificent ancient Buddhist rock-cut architecture and cave paintings depicting the life and legends of the Buddha are an absolute must see. And 5 Senses Tours makes this journey safe, easy and, in general, incredible by coordinating the travel to the sites, lodging and accommodation and great guides that provide in-depth background on the caves and life in the region.

Remarkable paintings and sculptures

We took this 6 day tour with Five senses tours to see 2 world heritage monuments at Ajanta and Ellora. These masterpieces are really one the best works of man. The Ajanta paintings are so life like. The temple at Ellora needs to be seen to be believed. The entire temple was carved out of Mountain top down. Zero margin for error. Incredible! Our guides were remarkable and the food was fantastic as well. We also enjoyed the lonar meteorite landing site. It a giant crater lake and our guide got his apparatus to show why the water is alkaline and saline at the same time. We were convinced after seeing a few more anamolies, about the extra-terrestrial impact on this land. The tour was organised remarkably well. I look forward to my next trip with this wonderful team.

Response from the operator: Thanks so much. It was our pleasure to help you experience the world heritage monuments of Ajanta and Ellora. I am also happy you found the meteorite Lake of Lonar also fascinating! It was our pleasure.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Mumbai?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Mumbai?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
