About this experience

Taroudant is at the heart of a fertile valley. 30 km southeast perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the village of Tiout palm grove reminiscent of Marrakech. The ruins of an ancient kasbah transformed into a tourist restaurant, dominate the site. From the top of the peak, breathtaking views to offer on the High Atlas and the Souss Valley. For the record, Fernandel turned Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves in this palm grove in 1954. The pretty Berber town offers much to see and it is on the road to Agadir, these attics villages, which date from the 16th century and are a must-see before they completely disappeared.

An interesting trip to an original Morocco

I was picked up in Taghazout by a separate driver and taken to the group in Agadir. Then we went straight to Taroudant. We drove around the old town and then visited the market. The guide explained a lot. Then we went on to Tiout to the oasis for lunch. We had a delicious meal in a very authentic restaurant before walking with another guide down through the oasis with its many palm trees. Here you can also have a donkey carry you for a small fee. But you should be a good walker on this tour! These are not well-developed paths like in Germany. It was very, very hot, but there was water to buy everywhere along the way.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
