worst afternoon tea in thailand
i paid 105 usd for a poor afternoon tea and it was only worth 30 usd, crossed the heavy traffic and arrived with a bad afternoon tea, i had to serve myself the tea the poor food after finishing the 105 usd afternoon tea 15 minutes before leaving they asked me to sign the bill and i saw the real price the local supplier booked with the hotel which was 850 baht including tax for 2 people which is equivalent to 25 usd, the price i paid was 105 usd. their food was poor i wondered how easy it is for them to make money in thailand oh my god
Response from the operator: Dear Hiept, Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry to hear that the afternoon tea did not meet your expectations. I see that you went to ROMSAI restaurant but you paid for another restaurant which was VERTIGO TOO on the 60th Floor. Vertigo TOO is a more exclusive and luxurious restaurant. This is the price difference and confusion. If you'd like to discuss this further, please feel free to reach out to us directly. Thanks, Paul

Didnt get what i paid for
Paid for three people but the afternoon tea set is for two people. Originally the hotel was going to charge me for an extra drink, but did understand i already paid for three. But still wasnt worth it..
Response from the operator: Dear Nickie, Thanks for your review. I have checked already and you went on the 17th December 2023. You paid for 2 sets of afternoon tea and the hotel advised us that you only wanted 1 set (please see proof) and that the extra drinks was for the 3rd person. https://paste.pics/R4DQ3 Thanks, Paul

Will go there again. Love the ambiance and the service is great
This was a nice experience in a beautiful hotel. The food, both sweet and savoury were delicious and so were the drinks. You can just show up any time between 2-5pm. I didn't even have to show the voucher, they already had my name in the system. If you wanted some down time or miss having non-Asian food, check this one out! Service was excellent!!
Response from the operator: Hi Serty, Thank you for the kind rating, for the Luxurious Afternoon Tea at the Banyan Tree! We’re so happy you had a great time, Regards, Nick

Response from the operator: Dear Patrick, Thanks for the 5-star review. The team at IAsia Thailand and Banyan Tree are thrilled you’re happy with your recent high tea experience, Regards, Nick

Why this scores 45
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Afternoon Tea Indulgence at Banyan Tree Bangkok: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangkok.
How much does Afternoon Tea Indulgence at Banyan Tree Bangkok cost?
+
Prices start at $800 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangkok usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Afternoon Tea Indulgence at Banyan Tree Bangkok take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangkok is not rushed.
Is Afternoon Tea Indulgence at Banyan Tree Bangkok worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 45 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bangkok, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Afternoon Tea Indulgence at Banyan Tree Bangkok?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Afternoon Tea Indulgence at Banyan Tree Bangkok suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Afternoon Tea Indulgence at Banyan Tree Bangkok?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangkok can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangkok and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Afternoon Tea Indulgence at Banyan Tree Bangkok start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangkok within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bangkok?
+
On Outty we rank every Bangkok experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Old Siam Bangkok Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Tingly Thai Cooking Class with Morning Market Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bangkok?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bangkok?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
