Never again

Afternoon tea. Is usually a treat, crisp white linen, nice crockery, delicious sandwiches and pastries, warm jam and cream scones. All of these and nice surroundings combine to make it a special treat. Not so at Peckforton Castle. The room in which we were served our tea was more like a local cafe, dark and dreary, made to look worse as there was no white table linen, paper napkins and Formica topped tables. It lacked any sense of warmth or occasion. With regards to the food, the sandwiches were fresh but the fillings were sparse and would certainly have benefited from more filling. Whilst I know the pastries are meant to be delicate there is a huge difference between delicate and minuscule. In fairness the staff we spoke to were lovely but that I’m sorry to say was the most positive comment I could make. Sorry Peckforton Castle it really wasn’t worth the cost or the effort it took us to get there

Response from the operator: Hello, Thank you for your feedback, but it seems there has been a mix-up. Your review describes Peckforton Castle in England, but we operate tours in the Czech Republic – specifically to Konopiště Castle. These are two completely different places and countries. We kindly ask you to post your review with the correct provider so future travelers are not misled. Your experience was not with us. We talked with Tripadvisor team, they confirmed this Is a review to absolutely different company than we are- also operated in different country, but they Are not able to put this review to the right company. It must be done by client, can we kindly ask you to put your review to the company you traveled with. Thanks very much. Thank you for understanding.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Prague.

How much does Afternoon Tea at Konopiště Castle:Taste of Aristocratic Tradition cost?

+

Prices start at $189 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Prague usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Afternoon Tea at Konopiště Castle:Taste of Aristocratic Tradition take?

+

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Prague is not rushed.

Is Afternoon Tea at Konopiště Castle:Taste of Aristocratic Tradition worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 40 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Prague, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Afternoon Tea at Konopiště Castle:Taste of Aristocratic Tradition?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Afternoon Tea at Konopiště Castle:Taste of Aristocratic Tradition suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 15. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 5-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Afternoon Tea at Konopiště Castle:Taste of Aristocratic Tradition?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Prague can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Prague and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Afternoon Tea at Konopiště Castle:Taste of Aristocratic Tradition start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Prague within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Prague?

+

On Outty we rank every Prague experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best Reviews: Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland Day Trip From Prague, Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland From Prague-Travelers' Choice 2026, 3-hour Complete Prague Bike Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Prague?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Prague?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
