Paronella Park, a re-emerging gem.
Not really knowing what to expect, the guide, Simon, was the font of all knowledge, indigenous, colonial to present day. His personal connection to Paronella Park gave more gravitas. It was a long day well spent. The included meal at Mena Creek hotel was not as I expected but served the purpose. Further on Simon, not being very sure footed, he was so helpful and kind with the care shown & given.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your review. I am pleased to hear you enjoyed discovering the fascinating history and beauty of Paronella Park. Its wonderful to hear Simon made you feel comfortable and well cared for throughout the day, as we pride ourselves on providing a personal and welcoming experience to our guests. Thank you for choosing Tropic Tours and we hope you have some wonderful memories from Tropical North Queensland. Many thanks 🙏

Two things:...
Two things: 1. I personally don't think Paronella Park is all that cool. It is a few small concrete buildings in the forest. The story is just that a man built them and then they got flooded. Not exactly a magical fairy tale. 2. I don't think that the other locations on the tour or the additional info on the tour added much.
Response from the operator: Thank you for joining us and for taking the time to share your feedback. We completely understand that Paronella Park is one of those places that can resonate differently with each visitor. For many guests, it is the history, setting and story behind the property that make the experience memorable, while for others it may not have quite the same appeal. Our tour is designed to offer more than just the visit to Paronella Park, incorporating other locations and local stories along the way to give guests a broader experience of the Cassowary Coast and surrounding region. We’re sorry to hear that these additional stops and information didn’t add as much to your day as we would have hoped. We appreciate your honest feedback and thank you again for travelling with Tropic Tours.

Do this Tour.
I booked this tour to return to Paronella Park. Simon was our guide, he is knowledgeable friendly and well organised. He has good local Indigenous cultural knowledge and explains the stories with great drama. His connection to Paronella is amazing and shared personal details and theories. Babinda Boulders and Etty Bay were definitely bonus stops. Home cooked afternoon tea was delightful. We had a most excellent adventure.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your day exploring not only Paronella Park but also Babinda Boulders and Etty Bay. Thank you kindly.

What should I bring or wear?
