Nacho libre Tour
Started our Nacho Libre Tour in the morning. Juan picked us up on time and at our hotel. Juan is a certified tour guide who knows so much about Oaxaca. We first enjoyed Monte Alban and we were blown away by the beauty of this archeological site. Juan was our driver, our tour guide and our personal photographer. He took some great shots of us and we even recreated some of the most iconic scenes of the movie…. We visited santuario Las Peñitas, a textile workshop where we got to see the artist doing what they love most. We visited a mezcaleria and we visited other Nacho Libre movie locations. We had an amazing time.. thank you Juan. We are definitely recommending you to our family and friends.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience! It was a pleasure showing you not only the iconic Nacho Libre filming locations, but also the history, culture, and traditions that make Oaxaca so special. I had a great time helping you recreate some of those memorable scenes and capturing the photos along the way. Thank you for trusting me with your experience and for recommending the tour to your family and friends. I truly appreciate it!

Best Tour Guide Ever!
Jr is without a doubt, the best tour guide I’ve ever had. His extensive knowledge about all parts of the tour made the whole day incredibly engaging. One question would lead to a whole discussion and backstory, which gave way to even more questions and he could answer all of them. I left the tour knowing so much more about Oaxaca, and even Mexico as a whole. He is also incredibly accommodating. He let us stop for food, restroom, even took us back to a previous site to look for a hat that my partner and I had lost on the tour. He made the whole tour very comfortable and welcoming. Finally, Jr is just so FUN! We had a blast recreating scene from Nacho Libre. He has a very playful and lighthearted attitude that made the whole day more engaging. We laughed for the whole day :) Cannot recommend this tour enough!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It truly means a lot to me. It was a pleasure spending the day with you and sharing the history, culture, and traditions of Oaxaca. I’m very happy to hear you enjoyed the experience and had fun recreating scenes from Nacho Libre. Thank you for your kindness and recommendation. I hope to welcome you back to Oaxaca someday. Safe travels and all the best!

This tour is not just for Nacho Libre fans, but also for experiencing Oaxaca's culture and history. I booked this tour for my family because we are fans of the movie, but little did we know that our tour would be so much more. Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
After the footsteps of Nacho Libre in Oaxaca: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Oaxaca City.
How much does After the footsteps of Nacho Libre in Oaxaca cost?
+
Prices start at $229 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Oaxaca City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does After the footsteps of Nacho Libre in Oaxaca take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Oaxaca City is not rushed.
Is After the footsteps of Nacho Libre in Oaxaca worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 23 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Oaxaca City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule After the footsteps of Nacho Libre in Oaxaca?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is After the footsteps of Nacho Libre in Oaxaca suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book After the footsteps of Nacho Libre in Oaxaca?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Oaxaca City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Oaxaca City and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does After the footsteps of Nacho Libre in Oaxaca start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Oaxaca City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Oaxaca City?
+
On Outty we rank every Oaxaca City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include AUTHENTIC OAXACA CULTURAL FOOD TOUR, eat like a local., Hierve el Agua 2.5 hours, Mitla, Tule, Rugs and Mezcal for a Day, Traditional Oaxaqueña Cooking with Grandma's Recipes. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Oaxaca City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Oaxaca City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
