Poti Tower
The next route of the tour will be the Black Sea port city of Poti, the kingdom of Kolkheti, where the Argonauts got on in the era of the ancient Bronze Age from Byzantium. The port city will host tours for foreign guests at the historic luminous lighthouse. The lighthouse pictured is a metal structure and was ordered to be cast in England in 1860, the tower itself is made of cast iron and weighs 126 tons. Lighting of the Poti Maritime Navigation Lighthouse began in 1884 and has never faded since.The light range of the lighthouse reaches 16 nautical miles, which is 30 kilometers. A 160-step internal staircase to the lighthouse and an observation deck over 39 meters high offer stunning views of the Black Sea and the infrastructure of the city of Poti. From the lighthouse, foreign guests should definitely pay attention to the nearby seashore, where dolphins often swim near the coast with indescribable beauty.
