Poor safety issues & rushed trip
Well what can I say. The only day we had torrential rain and a thunderstorm which began literally as we were being picked up at the hotel. The best idea would have been to cancel - on a bus with open sides I was soaked on my right side before we got to the venue! We were told the trip included - - buggy drive - pool party in cave - Dominican evening meal - dancing with open bar - return to hotel around 10.15/30 pm What went wrong? - no safety demonstration before getting into buggies - once inside - my seatbelt was not working & helmet did not fit any of the 3 in t e party & they were happy for us the leave base like that! My husband refused to drive until we were all securely inside and all seat belts fastened & everyone having a helmet that at least finished - having to pay $90 upfront fir photos before even leaving base - other drivers trying to overtake - dangerous and eventually getting pulled up my guides - once finish buggy drive rushed into area , some background information & dancing about Dominican Republic itself THEN all power went out - standing around in the dark fir 65 mins+ whilst trying to sell us coffee / hot chocolate/ cigars with no information given - sitting down to meal , cold, due to power cut - by then most people just wanted to go back to hotels - 10 mins in cove - power went out , whilst people in the water! - 10 mins dancing & open bar - total waste of time - issues with photos, no time to view & losing power when trying to save - wait for bus to return back to hotel - arrived back 11.47 pm , cold, wet and very dirty! What went right? - buggy easy to drive, brake and accelerator - guides ensuring overtaking not happening and stepping in when it did - opportunity to swap drivers 1/2 way if wanted, I choose not too after issues with seat belts This trip was £320 for 2 adults & 15 year old. The cove pool was not really suitable for a 15 year old girl when the very limited time inside they were screaming ‘SHOTS’ on repeat & she couldn’t join in . Plus extra $90 for photos before even, disappointed with some, driving in buggies were ok. We did express our disappointment on the evening and seemed to fall on deaf ears. Speaking to others around us the general feeling was massive disappointment and wanting a refund. The following day we did express our covers around safety and lack of activities due to the power cut for a long period of time. It seems lots of other people did the same thing as our Tui rep was aware of this issues and we were issued with a £160 refund, 50% back. Which was fair. The photos are due in email 9 am the following morning - this did not happen but finally arrived around 5.30pm later that day. I would not recommend this trip due to safety issues at the beginning for us. The power cut happened- sometimes these things happen but then they rushed everything else & was ridiculous, waste of time. The same company do other buggy trips and zipline, based on this experience I would not be doing either of these trips.

Great!!
We loved every minute of the experience. Very great service. Everyone is super attentive to their clients. I really liked the night tour because the boogie experience was very different.

Sexism at its finest: I was told “lady you can’t drive” even though zero briefing was given.
The excursion itself had potential, but poor instruction and the lead guide’s behaviour ruined it. There was virtually no proper buggy briefing, including no explanation of hand signals, yet I was criticised for not responding correctly. The guide was patronising and noticeably harsher towards me than my husband, which felt sexist. TUI should review both the operator’s safety/instruction standards and staff conduct.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for taking the time to write to us and share your experience in such detail. We sincerely regret that the excursion did not meet your expectations and, particularly, that the guide’s behavior and the lack of clear instructions affected your enjoyment of the activity. As a management team, we take your comments regarding safety briefings and communication very seriously. All guests should receive clear and appropriate instructions before participating in the buggy activity, and they should feel comfortable asking questions and receiving guidance throughout the experience. We are sorry that you felt you were criticized for not responding correctly to instructions that had not been adequately explained. We are also concerned by your perception that you were treated differently from your husband. We want every guest to be treated with professionalism, courtesy, and respect, regardless of gender. Your feedback regarding the guide’s conduct will therefore be shared with the appropriate management team for internal review. We appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention and will use your feedback to evaluate both our safety briefing procedures and the standard of service provided by our staff. Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. We sincerely apologize that an excursion with the potential to be enjoyable was negatively affected by these issues. Your feedback is valuable to us and will help us identify areas where improvements are needed. Sincerely, Management Team

Chaotic!!
Chaotic. Zero direction. Has to change buses 3x, for what, i still dont know. Thought it was goin to be a fun day of getting muddy. Only ran threw 3 "mud puddles" the others we weren't allowed to go threw. People where rude and pushy. The only ok thing was the food even then its was 💯 chaos. I was told it was goin to be fun and I was stressed the whole time. I booked another excursion for the next day and lost 180usd because I didnt want to get stressed out my last day on the island. Tried calling "whats up app" and no response. Will never book w them again!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for taking the time to write to us and share your experience in such detail. We sincerely regret that the excursion did not provide the enjoyable and relaxing experience you were expecting and that, instead, you felt stressed throughout the day. As a management team, we take your concerns very seriously, particularly your comments regarding the organization and coordination of the excursion, the multiple bus changes, the buggy experience, and the interaction with our staff. We understand that an excursion should be properly organized, clearly coordinated, and enjoyable from beginning to end. We are also very sorry to hear that you attempted to contact us through WhatsApp and did not receive a response. Effective communication with our guests is extremely important to us, and we will review this situation internally to understand what happened and prevent similar issues in the future. We appreciate your positive comment regarding the food as well. We value both positive and negative feedback, as it allows us to recognize what is working and identify areas that require improvement. We are especially sorry to hear that your experience influenced your decision to cancel another excursion and resulted in a financial loss for you. We understand your disappointment and sincerely regret that your experience with us contributed to this situation. Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Your comments will be forwarded to the appropriate departments for review and improvement. We are committed to using feedback such as yours to provide a better-organized and more enjoyable experience for our future guests. Sincerely, Management Team

Why this scores 53
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Adventure Boogies Drive: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.
How much does Adventure Boogies Drive cost?
+
Prices start at $130 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Adventure Boogies Drive take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.
Is Adventure Boogies Drive worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 41 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Adventure Boogies Drive?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Adventure Boogies Drive suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Adventure Boogies Drive?
+
Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Adventure Boogies Drive start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?
+
On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Punta Cana?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
