Tour guide puts it all together
Margaret was a great tour guide. There is an overwhelming amount to see in the museum, and a guide put it all together and explained it all so well. Gorgeous museum
Response from the operator: Dear John, Navigating a world-class collection like the Acropolis Museum can definitely feel overwhelming, so it's our pleasure that Margaret brought it all together so seamlessly for you! Having a dedicated guide to weave the stories and artifacts into a clear picture really brings the history to life. Thank you for leaving such a great review, and we hope you enjoyed every moment in Athens! Warmly, Athens Walking Tours Team

It was useful that I did...
It was useful that I did it a day before my tour of the Acropolis. It helped me picture the artifacts in place.
Response from the operator: Hi Charles, That is absolute expert-level planning right there! Seeing the artifacts up close in the Museum first is such a brilliant way to build the mental picture before stepping onto the Acropolis grounds itself. We love that you tackled it in that order! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your review and travel tip! Warmly, Athens Walking Tours Team

Wonderful museum
Great museum of artifacts. Tour guide was ok but had some poor equipment and had some issues with hearing.
Response from the operator: Hey Eileen, Thanks for the feedback. We're glad you loved the museum's artifacts, but we apologize for the issues with the audio equipment. Clear sound is a must, and we will reflect on our headsets quality to secure a perfect function in any case. Warmly, Athens Walking Tours Team

Disappointed with this tour
I was disappointed with this tour. The guide's accent was quite difficult for me to understand, but more importantly, the delivery lacked energy and enthusiasm. It felt like she was simply reading from a script rather than engaging with the group. I honestly think I would have learned more by using the museum's free audio guide or reading the exhibit descriptions.
Response from the operator: Hello Chun, We are sorry to hear about your experience. We sincerely apologize for not keeping the engagement as part of the tour as you expected, and we regret that the delivery lacked the energy and enthusiasm we aim for. Your feedback is incredibly important, and we will address this with our team to ensure our tours remain interesting, insightful, and dynamic. Thank you for letting us know. A Must-See Tour when in Athens
This 1 1/2 hour tour is perfect amount of time for the museum. Our Guide Deppy was so knowledgeable about everything in the museum and the Ancient Greek times. She knew a lot about the Acropolis, the different statues and greek gods. Felt like I was back in high school (LOL) Amazing how they could build these statues and Parthenon back 3000 years ago. Definitely worth seeing. Not a lot of walking so a moderate activity.
Response from the operator: Hey Frances, Thank you for the wonderful review! We love that Deppy managed to transport you back in time (in the best way possible!) and bring all those fascinating stories of the Greek gods and ancient architecture to life. It truly is mind-blowing what they built thousands of years ago! We're so glad the 1.5-hour pace was the perfect match for you. Warmly, Athens Walking Tours Team

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Acropolis Museum Guided Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.
How much does Acropolis Museum Guided Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Acropolis Museum Guided Tour take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.
Is Acropolis Museum Guided Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 83 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Acropolis Museum Guided Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Acropolis Museum Guided Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Acropolis Museum Guided Tour?
+
Around 29 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Acropolis Museum Guided Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Athens?
+
On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Athens?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Athens?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
