    Nice tour of the acropolis

Experience was informative. A little too much talking and was very hot outside. The tour went smoothly and was good enough.

Response from the operator: Hey Kerry, Thank you for the honest feedback. That Athens heat is no joke, and we know standing in the sun makes long historical details tough to get through. We'll definitely work on better balancing our stories with the high temperatures. Glad the tour went smoothly and was informative! Warmly, Athens Walking Tours Team

We had an amazing tour of...

We had an amazing tour of the Acropolis and were lucky to have Magdalini as our guide. She was excellent from start to finish. Very knowledgeable, well spoken, and passionate about the history of Athens and the Acropolis. We were one of the first groups to enter that morning, which made the experience even better and allowed us to enjoy everything before it became crowded, giving us the opportunity to take some great pictures. Magdalini explained everything in a way that was easy to understand while still being detailed and engaging. She made the entire experience memorable, and we learned so much throughout the tour. Highly recommend this tour company.

Response from the operator: Thank you for such a thoughtful review, David! We are so pleased to hear that your experience with Magdalini was excellent from start to finish. It really is a game-changer to be among the first groups through the gates—having those quieter moments for photos and reflection makes the history feel even more impactful. We are glad that Magdalini’s ability to balance detail with an engaging, easy-to-understand style helped make the morning so memorable for you. We will be sure to pass your high recommendation and kind words along to her! Warmly, Athens Walking Tours Team

    Acropolis and Museum Tour

This company was great. First they were responsive even before it started, working with me when we needed to meet up. The guild was very informative and I love that they had headsets so everyone could hear no matter what. We went on a very cold and windy day which made it a bit harder to hear, but that’s Mother Nature for you. We continued with the museum tour also. So glad we did, she explained it all easily and made it more enjoyable.

Response from the operator: Hi Jessica, thanks so much for the detailed feedback! We’re delighted our communication helped you feel at ease before the tour even started, we know how important that peace of mind is when traveling. Even when Mother Nature brings the wind and cold, those headsets are such a game-changer for staying connected to the history! We’re also happy you pushed through to the museum; it really is the perfect way to warm up while making the stories "click."

Acropolis and Museum Tour With Early Entry Ticket: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does Acropolis and Museum Tour With Early Entry Ticket cost?

    +

Prices start at $17 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Acropolis and Museum Tour With Early Entry Ticket take?

    +

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is Acropolis and Museum Tour With Early Entry Ticket worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Acropolis and Museum Tour With Early Entry Ticket?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Acropolis and Museum Tour With Early Entry Ticket suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Acropolis and Museum Tour With Early Entry Ticket?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Acropolis and Museum Tour With Early Entry Ticket start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

    +

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
