    2. Chand Baori

The drive is of 2 hours from Jaipur. On arrival at the destination, you would be provided lunch and then show you Abhaneri Stepwell. Chand Baori is the oldest surviving step well in Rajasthan and probably India. It was built by the King named Chanda or Chandra of the Nikhumbha dynasty. The time of the stepwell is 8-9th CE making it 1200-1300 years old. Yes, it is older than Taj Mahal, Khajuraho Temples, and Chola Temples but younger than Ajanta and Ellora Caves. When you stand next to this 13 story deep step well with symmetric triangular steps leading to the water at the bottom, you cannot but be mesmerized. You, of course, understand that in the desert of Rajasthan, it is a practical water management solution. It also serves as a natural cooler in summer months. But, what inspired the people of those days to build it so beautifully. After Abhaneri we will drive you to Bhangarh.

    Unique experiences in Rajasthan

Very nice tour of less busy areas outside Jaipur. Nitu, the driver, was very helpful and informative. The guide Dayal at the step well was friendly, professional and knowledgeable about its history. The organisers remained in touch regularly to make sure the tour was running smoothly.

Response from the operator: Thank you for the review.

Great day, full trip through Jaipur outskirts

The experience was great and worth it. Consider is a long drive, start early. The stepwell is the highlight. Our driver, Ishak Khan, ensured we had a local experience through the food and chai. Really experienced driver. Guides provided good info and let us explore by ourselves too.

Response from the operator: Thank you Rodrique for the review.

    Great flexibility when plans changed

These are some really great highlights of the Jaipur area. The stepwell is very impressive and has a rich history and I got up close with some monkeys at the Bhangarh Fort. My flight had come in 2.5h later than expected but the driver was very flexible and we still tried to get the whole itinerary done even into the evening. Unfortunately the monkey temple had closed by then, but the other two destinations still made the day we'll worth it.

Response from the operator: Thank you for the review.

Easy no frills way to see three awesome sites

Very simple way to see three sites outside of Jaipur that may be less touristy but still worth seeing nonetheless. Favorite of these was Bhangarh Fort. Would recommend, very no frills way to get to each of these three points with an experienced driver and guide.

Response from the operator: Thank you Jonathan for the review.

Abhaneri & Bhangarh Day Trip – Car, Guide, Lunch & Monkey Temple: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Jaipur.

How much does Abhaneri & Bhangarh Day Trip – Car, Guide, Lunch & Monkey Temple cost?

    +

Prices start at $33 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Jaipur usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Abhaneri & Bhangarh Day Trip – Car, Guide, Lunch & Monkey Temple take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Jaipur is not rushed.

Is Abhaneri & Bhangarh Day Trip – Car, Guide, Lunch & Monkey Temple worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Jaipur, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Abhaneri & Bhangarh Day Trip – Car, Guide, Lunch & Monkey Temple?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Abhaneri & Bhangarh Day Trip – Car, Guide, Lunch & Monkey Temple suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Abhaneri & Bhangarh Day Trip – Car, Guide, Lunch & Monkey Temple?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jaipur can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jaipur and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Abhaneri & Bhangarh Day Trip – Car, Guide, Lunch & Monkey Temple start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Jaipur within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Jaipur?

    +

On Outty we rank every Jaipur experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Sunrise Taj Mahal Tour from Delhi By Car -All inclusive, Private Jaipur Full One Day Tour In Pink City With Guide, Private Full Day Jaipur Sightseeing Tour By Tuk Tuk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Jaipur?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Jaipur?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
