Rappel Down into a cave and MUD!
Jomblang cave is a must if you are in Jogja. Adrenaline rush down into the cave and wrestle your way through the mud to get a view that is worth all the hassle. Ardi our guide is the best and I truly recommend booking him to wherever you want to check out in Jogja. Been getting him for the past three years and will definitely more to come in the future. Ardi has good conversational skills and jokes so you will be entertained throughout the journey. His food recommendations are also top notch! So thanks to Ardi for the wonderful memories in Jogja.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience! We're thrilled you enjoyed Jomblang Cave and had such a great time with Ardi. He truly adds a special touch to the adventure. Looking forward to welcoming you again in the future!

Exploring Jomblang Cave with the Best Guide in Jogja
This was our fourth (or maybe fifth!) time booking with Ardi since December 2023, and he’s truly become our go-to guide and driver whenever we’re in Jogja and planning excursions outside the city. Ardi is incredibly friendly, reliable, and always ready with great local tips and food recommendations. He drives safely and is easy to communicate with — we usually contact him directly via WhatsApp at +62 888-0270-2727. This time, we went on an adventurous trip to Jomblang Cave, and it was such a thrilling and memorable experience. While there was a bit of a wait at the start, the excitement builds quickly once you’re lowered into the sinkhole with the help of the local crew. From there, prepare for a muddy hike across rocks and slippery paths — but it’s all worth it when you reach the heart of the cave and see the famous beam of light shining dramatically through the trees above. It’s absolutely stunning and makes for a fantastic photo opportunity. Tips: You will get muddy, so bring an extra set of clothes and a headlamp or flashlight — it’s pitch dark inside the cave on the way in. Embrace the mess — it’s all part of the fun!
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience and helpful tips! We’re thrilled to know Ardi has made your trips so memorable and enjoyable. Jomblang Cave is indeed a unique adventure, and your insights will surely inspire other visitors.

How much does A Day Out from Yogyakarta: Jomblang Cave Tour cost?

Prices start at $73 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Yogyakarta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does A Day Out from Yogyakarta: Jomblang Cave Tour take?

Is A Day Out from Yogyakarta: Jomblang Cave Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Yogyakarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Is A Day Out from Yogyakarta: Jomblang Cave Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book A Day Out from Yogyakarta: Jomblang Cave Tour?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Yogyakarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Yogyakarta and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does A Day Out from Yogyakarta: Jomblang Cave Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Yogyakarta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Yogyakarta?
+
On Outty we rank every Yogyakarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Yogyakarta Private Car Hire with Driver, From Surabaya / Malang : Mt Bromo Sunrise - Ijen Blue Fire 2D1N, Borobudur Full Climb Up And Prambanan ALL INCLUSIVE PRIVATE Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Yogyakarta?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Yogyakarta?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
