    Great skate experience

I live in Stockholm and skate occasionally with my own gear and friends, but I wanted to learn more and get a real tour so I booked with Stockholm Adventures. It was all through the day a great experience; first class equipment, safety check, good transport, finding the best ice, longevity of tour - we did 35km! And our guide Johan was sharing a lots of ice knowledge along the route. Loved the lunch midway around the campfire! At one passage, our guide went ahead and tested the ice and the ice broke and he fell in. Fantastic day and experience thanks! Don’t bring your own shoes/skates it’s all included incl a backpack with safety gear and a complete kit with clothes if you would get wet. Highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Hi Thomas, We are glad you enjoyed your A Day on the Ice skating day tour with us. Thanks for such a positive review and we hope to see you again in the future. Best Regards, The Stockholm Adventures Team

Food for breakfast was good. We didn’t do much else to comment on.

Disability room. No means of holding anything in the shower. They need some handles in there. It could not ne classed as a room suitable for a disabled lady on her own. My son and his wife were in a room further down the corridor.

Response from the operator: Hi there, I believe you are reviewing the wrong booking. We are not a hotel, we do not offer the activity for disable people. You have booked an Ice Skating tour from us which we hope you enjoyed. Best Regards, The Stockholm Adventures Team

    Fun, authentic, Local activity

If you want a fun, authentic, Local experience look no further. We did the ice skating experience and absolutely loved it. We got picked up at our hotel by the guide. We were whisked away to the shop a few minutes away to get fitted up with gear and then it was off to go skating. We were driven to a huge llake in a beautiful neighborhood. There was a 5 kilometer track of ice that had been cleared of snow to make the going easier. Our guide gave us some handy tips on form as this skating technique is different from the hockey skating I'm used to. Then it was off to the races. I'm pretty sure we were the only tourists around. We saw a lot of different people from single skaters who were obvious experts to families and couples enjoying a day out and even a few pups taking their owners for exercise. Mid-day we went on the banks in a beautiful wooded area with picnic benches and a fire pit. A delicious lunch was hiding in our packs including a tasty veggie sandwich, a thermos with hot water and all of the supplies to make tea, coffee, cocoa or even soup. Then our guide pulled some wood and hot dogs with all of the fixings out of his bag and grilled up fresh dogs for whomever wanted them. Then finished the day with more skating at a different lake where we saw the Crown Princesses house. 5 star service all day. I left my goggle bag in the car and they brought it back to my hotel before I saw it was missing. Highly recommend!!

Response from the operator: Hi Lesley, thank you very much for your wonderful review. We are so glad to hear you had a great experience. We hope to see you again in the future! Best regards, The Stockholm Adventures Team

    Best black ice ever

I was thinking of going on such trip for a long time. I was really satisfied. Booking went easy, communication was prompt. On spot they had all the equipment you would possibly need. During the car ride and the trip a lot of interesting information was shared. The skating part was: total freedom. The ice was the smoothest I have ever seen on a natural lake. Everyone should try.

A Day on the Ice in Stockholm: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Stockholm.

How much does A Day on the Ice in Stockholm cost?

    +

Prices start at $2365 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Stockholm usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does A Day on the Ice in Stockholm take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Stockholm is not rushed.

Is A Day on the Ice in Stockholm worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Stockholm, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule A Day on the Ice in Stockholm?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is A Day on the Ice in Stockholm suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book A Day on the Ice in Stockholm?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Stockholm can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Stockholm and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does A Day on the Ice in Stockholm start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Stockholm within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Stockholm?

    +

On Outty we rank every Stockholm experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Stockholm: Walking Tour of the Old Town, Best of Stockholm: Small Group Walking Tour (Max 10, 3 Hours), Vasa Museum Guided Tour, Including Ticket & Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Stockholm?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Stockholm?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
