Go on a horseback riding adventure with some real cowboys!! You'll go back in time to the 1800s on this trail ride that takes you into incredible hills and cactus filled deserts. Then have an amazing time with the western activities....learn how to shoot an arrow.... throw an axe... and try your hand at roping a steel calf. It's all in a day's work on the ranch! Wild West revisited

A fantastic time we had from start to finish . Mike who picked us up from our hotel and took us to the ranch was very informative and a good driver. The staff at the ranch were very helpful and knowledgeable. Kendare took us out on the horses which were lovely well mannered and well looked after. Kendare’s knowledge of the area was vast . We finished off with great food cooked on the bbq and free beers! , plenty of it and very tasty . We did pistol shooting , axe throwing and bow and arrows . The old town is a fantastic reminder of the old Wild West with so much attention to detail . We throughly had the best time a tick off my bucket list and highly recommend it to anyone

Response from the operator: Glad that you enjoyed the day! Thanks very much again for touring and riding with us!

Back in the saddle again -

We have been on horses 3 times in our lives…prom weekend and twice here and LOVED this experience! Oh, did I mention we are 73 years old?!? Our skeptic friends loved it as well! Bill, our guide was so hysterical and knowledgeable. The horses are on autopilot so sit back and enjoy the gorgeous scenery! The cowboy games were a hoot and lunch was fine. This is worth every penny and not worth giving it a second thought whether or not to do it. Make this memory!!

Response from the operator: Thanks so much for your review, so glad that you enjoyed the western experience! Safe travels!

    Definitely a great time!!

It's terrific!!! Our guide was true cowboy. Very knowledgeable about everything in the area. There's even ancient drawings and remains of Indian houses dating back about 900 yrs. The food was also amazing!!

Response from the operator: Glad that you enjoyed the Old Western experience!! Thanks very much for touring with us!

Water was provided. Had a great lunch. And we were offered soft drinks or beer for lunch. Rusty was a wonderful guide. All the Cowboys were very friendly and knowledgeable. The horses were well trained.

A Day In The Old West Adventure including Horseback Ride and Cowboy Lunch: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phoenix.

How much does A Day In The Old West Adventure including Horseback Ride and Cowboy Lunch cost?

    +

Prices start at $245 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phoenix usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does A Day In The Old West Adventure including Horseback Ride and Cowboy Lunch take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phoenix is not rushed.

Is A Day In The Old West Adventure including Horseback Ride and Cowboy Lunch worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phoenix, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule A Day In The Old West Adventure including Horseback Ride and Cowboy Lunch?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is A Day In The Old West Adventure including Horseback Ride and Cowboy Lunch suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book A Day In The Old West Adventure including Horseback Ride and Cowboy Lunch?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phoenix can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phoenix and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does A Day In The Old West Adventure including Horseback Ride and Cowboy Lunch start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phoenix within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Phoenix?

    +

Phoenix runs on desert experiences: sunrise hot air balloon lifts over the Sonoran, Camelback and South Mountain hikes, off-road Tonto Forest tours and day trips to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Heat safety and start times decide whether a tour is good, so we weight timing detail in the ranking. On Outty we rank every Phoenix experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kayaking the Salt River Foxtail Trip, Small-Group or Private Grand Canyon with Sedona Tour from Phoenix, Grand Canyon with Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon Van Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Phoenix?

    +

November to April. Summer tours run at dawn or not at all. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Phoenix?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
