It’s one of the first castles in Scotland to be run by a local community trust. The ticket to visit the castle must be separately purchased online or at the castle - £16.00 per person.

    Absolutely recommend 10/10!

Claudia was amazing and quite frankly one of the most knowledgeable and polite guides we have ever had in any of our trips around the world (Machu Picchu, Italy, London, etc). We’re from America, so finding a guide that could welcome us in for our first trip to Scotland was important. We were traveling with a 17 year old and a 9 year old and Claudia was incredible with our children. She was engaging and entertaining and went out of her way to make sure the kids had a great time. She even snuck in a couple places that weren’t in the original itinerary. Claudia was so knowledgeable about the history of the sites and the historical timeline. We learned so much. But most importantly, she treated us and spoke to us as if we were family and I genuinely appreciate that. Highly recommend 10/10. Thank you, thank you, thank you Claudia.

Response from the operator: Brittany, thank you so much for your lovely review. I truly enjoyed our day together, and I am delighted that my guiding services met your expectations. Wishing you and your family all the very best, especially the youngsters with their studies and your business. Warmest wishes, Claudia

What should I bring or wear?

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Inverness?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
