Seamless Travel Experience with a Personal Touch

From start to finish, Sankofa Afrika Tours and Travel delivered a travel experience that was both seamless and unforgettable. Right from my initial inquiry, their team provided clear communication, tailored recommendations, and a warm welcome that set the tone for the entire trip. The itinerary they crafted allowed me to explore Uganda’s natural wonders at a comfortable pace gorilla trekking in Bwindi, a safari in Murchison Falls, and a serene getaway to Lake Bunyonyi. Every detail, from transportation to accommodation, was carefully considered, leaving me free to simply enjoy the journey. What impressed me most was their personal touch. Our guide not only shared his knowledge of wildlife but also introduced us to local cultures, customs, and cuisines. I left feeling like I had truly experienced the heart of Uganda, not just its attractions. For anyone seeking a tour company that combines professionalism with genuine hospitality, Sankofa Afrika Tours and Travel is the perfect choice

My second travel journey with sankofa

In m whole life have been a traveller mostly doing wildlife adventure. This was my second trip with sankofa for 21 days and they have proven trustworthy, knowledgeable of what they do and are professional. The team is led by a young man "Mr Sam", his an ambitious and a to do man. Have felt with him for 21 days in my last trip and has been amazing and very supportive, all things went as planned, my gadgets were safe from the start to the finish of the travel, my family had an amazing company as well by his team of tour guides. Kudos Sankofa afrika tours and travel and keep doing the same to all our clients. Happy 2025! to all fellow travellers

Response from the operator: Thanks once agin for travelling with Sankofa Afrika, we are happy our team created a safe environment for you and your amazing family. can't thank you over. Cheers see you again 2025

Hollidays with sankofa

The end of year 2024 found me in Kampala wondering how to get into the right vibes for 2025 until a friend recommended us about sankofa tours and indeed it was a game changer. They have a good team which prepared us our package coverage for 5 days to show case Ugandaz beauty and treasures. We started in Queen Elizabeth where we saw the mist in the falls a relaxing sound of the falls and yes the boat cruiz. After we got our journey to Bwindi impenetrable forest to track the big boys (gorillas) in their natural habitat this was fun yet exercising. The mabere ga nyina mwiruu in Kasese was a story listening place where the Bachwezi resided. A great thanks to sankofa team.

Response from the operator: Its amazing to hear from you, we are extremely blessed that we were part of your memory 2024 memory, you had a great experience 2025 we are promising better cheers and a happy new year from all of us at Sankofa Afrika Tours

9 Days Big 5 Budget Safari Shoebill & Gorilla Trekking: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kampala.

How much does 9 Days Big 5 Budget Safari Shoebill & Gorilla Trekking cost?

+

Prices start at $1100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kampala usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 9 Days Big 5 Budget Safari Shoebill & Gorilla Trekking take?

+

Plan for about 216 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kampala is not rushed.

Is 9 Days Big 5 Budget Safari Shoebill & Gorilla Trekking worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kampala, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 9 Days Big 5 Budget Safari Shoebill & Gorilla Trekking?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 9 Days Big 5 Budget Safari Shoebill & Gorilla Trekking suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 216-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 9 Days Big 5 Budget Safari Shoebill & Gorilla Trekking?

+

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kampala can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kampala and add a light layer if any part of the 216-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 9 Days Big 5 Budget Safari Shoebill & Gorilla Trekking start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kampala within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kampala?

+

On Outty we rank every Kampala experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kampala’s Best Experience walking tour, Kampala Walking City Tours (Women-Guided), Kampala Heart of Walking Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kampala?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kampala?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
