Very disappointing and frustrating experience
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent tour experience. Although this agency advertises services specifically for English speakers, the reality did not match the promise. I strongly caution other English speakers and others against booking this tour for the following reasons: Language Barrier: Despite the "English-speaking" advertisement, our guide, Edu, spoke very little English. He conducted the vast majority of the tour in Spanish, leaving us unable to understand or participate in much of the experience. Poor Accommodations: The hotel selection was unacceptable. Our room was located directly next to railway tracks, making it impossible to get any rest due to the constant noise. Incompetent Guiding: Our guide, Edu (a male in his 40s), was unprofessional and unhelpful. When we informed him of the issue with the room noise and requested his assistance in relocating us to a quieter area, he was completely dismissive. He offered no solutions and lacked the basic problem-solving skills expected of a professional guide. While he talked frequently, he provided no useful information or support. Overall, this was a highly disappointing and frustrating experience. We expected a professional, English-led tour but instead received poor service and substandard accommodations. I hope the agency takes this feedback seriously to prevent other travelers from having a similar experience.
Response from the operator: Dear mohanm528, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We're truly sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations and that you encountered difficulties during your journey. Please rest assured that your comments have been forwarded to the relevant departments, including our operations and quality control teams, so they can be carefully reviewed and addressed. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us identify areas for improvement and continue working toward providing a better experience for all our travelers. Sincerely,

9-Day Best of Spain Tour
Excellent in all respects. Tour guide was great. Some minor issues with a couple of the hotel rooms (too hot); otherwise great.

Loved this tour with Julia Tours. By...

Loved this tour with Julia Tours. By booking through Viator, we had an awesome discount compared to some of our travel mates that we met there. Our tour guide was amazing and each individual city came with a local guide to give us more of insight and knowledge into the history of the area.

What a beautiful country Spain is...

What a beautiful country Spain is! This tours really shows you what Spain has to offer. Every city we went to was magnificent and different in their own unique way and to our surprise The tour arrangement was great from the beginning, we got all the information needed from Viator and Julia Travel since this is the company that took care of us while in Span. We had an agent at our hotel in Madrid the day we arrived to make sure we received the right info. Our tour guide for the first 4 days was Gracia and she was great! She was always ready to go and share great insights from Madrid, Cordoba, Sevilla and Granada. She was funny and knew everyone from the first day. Felipe was our guide for Valencia and Barcelona and he was outstanding as well. For the city tours, every local guide we had was so great explaining the history of each city, we learned so much and they showed us the great architecture and beauty of each place.
Now with the logistics, be prepared to walk and to have a lot of energy. This is fast pacing tour and you need to be able to absorb each city and then move to the next one. For the hotels, make sure you get the 4 stars one, we stayed at the 3 stars hotels and the location of the 4 stars were better and by that along the small difference in pricing is completely worth it. Our hotels were good as well, always clean and the staff was very helpful the breakfast was delicious in every place and each of them had a variety of options for all tastes. The included dinners were okay, nothing out of this world but it did help after the longs days of touring having a dinner ready at the hotel so we could rest right after. If you like beer, like we do, make sure to try the local beers at each city! The sangria is great as well! For the optional tours, we did the walking tour through the Albazyn in Granada, the Arab quarter. The views of the Alhambra from the neighborhood were out of this world and from a post card. We recommend doing this if your feet allow it!
Overall, TAKE THIS TOUR! It was the experience of a life time and Viator and Julia Travel have gain customers for life! THANK YOU!

Why this scores 47
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
9-Day Tour: Madrid, Andalusia, Valencia & Barcelona from Madrid: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Madrid.
How much does 9-Day Tour: Madrid, Andalusia, Valencia & Barcelona from Madrid cost?
+
Prices start at $1715 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Madrid usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 9-Day Tour: Madrid, Andalusia, Valencia & Barcelona from Madrid take?
+
Plan for about 216 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Madrid is not rushed.
Is 9-Day Tour: Madrid, Andalusia, Valencia & Barcelona from Madrid worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 30 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Madrid, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 9-Day Tour: Madrid, Andalusia, Valencia & Barcelona from Madrid?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 9-Day Tour: Madrid, Andalusia, Valencia & Barcelona from Madrid suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 216-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 9-Day Tour: Madrid, Andalusia, Valencia & Barcelona from Madrid?
+
Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Madrid can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Madrid and add a light layer if any part of the 216-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 9-Day Tour: Madrid, Andalusia, Valencia & Barcelona from Madrid start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Madrid within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Madrid?
+
On Outty we rank every Madrid experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Madrid Essential: Historic Center, Plaza Mayor & Royal Palace, Madrid Walking Tour from Puerta del Sol to Retiro Park, Madrid Oscuro: Torture, Ghosts, Crimes and Legends. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Madrid?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Madrid?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
