Nine Days in Jordan That We Will Never Forget
Some trips are enjoyable, and some trips become stories you keep telling long after you return home. Our 9-day journey through Jordan was definitely the second kind. What made this trip stand out was not only the incredible places we visited, but the way the entire experience came together. Jordan has an extraordinary ability to surprise you — one moment you are surrounded by thousands of years of history, the next you are looking at an endless desert landscape, and then you are relaxing beside the Dead Sea. Nine days gave us enough time to experience the country properly rather than simply passing through it. From the very beginning, Lucy, our sales agent, made a fantastic impression. Planning a trip from abroad can sometimes feel complicated, especially when you have questions about transportation, timing, hotels, and the best way to arrange the itinerary. Lucy made everything feel straightforward. She was clear, responsive, organized, and genuinely helpful. We exchanged quite a few messages while planning, and she was always patient and willing to explain things. We never felt pressured into anything, and we appreciated that she actually listened to what we wanted instead of simply trying to sell us a standard itinerary. That first impression turned out to be completely accurate. Once we arrived in Jordan, we met Hassan, our driver for the journey, and very quickly realized we had made the right choice. Hassan has a wonderful combination of professionalism and personality. He was reliable when we needed him to be, but also relaxed and friendly enough to make the journey enjoyable. After nine days together, we can honestly say that having the right person behind the wheel made a huge difference. There were plenty of long drives during the trip, but Hassan somehow made them part of the experience rather than something we simply had to endure. He was happy to chat when we wanted conversation and equally happy to give us quiet time when we wanted to rest. He also had a great sense of timing. We never felt that we were being hurried through places, and whenever we wanted an extra photo stop or a short break, he was accommodating and helpful. One of the things we appreciated most about Hassan was his respect for our time and personal space. He was always available when we needed assistance but never intrusive. That might sound like a small thing, but over nine days it makes a tremendous difference. And then there was Jordan itself. Petra was everything we hoped it would be and more. Seeing the Treasury for the first time was genuinely one of those travel moments that stays in your memory. But beyond the famous photographs, walking through the ancient city and seeing the details carved into the mountains gave us a much deeper appreciation for the people who built it. Wadi Rum felt like an entirely different world. The scale of the landscape is difficult to comprehend until you are standing there. The silence, the colors, the rock formations, and the changing light throughout the day were extraordinary. And then there was the Dead Sea, where we could slow down and enjoy a completely different kind of experience. Floating in the water and looking across the extraordinary landscape was a perfect reminder of how diverse Jordan really is. What we loved most about the nine days was that there was no single "best" moment. Instead, the trip was made up of dozens of small moments — unexpected views, interesting conversations, beautiful sunsets, quiet drives, great meals, historical discoveries, and spontaneous photographs. Those are the memories that stay with you. Lucy deserves enormous credit for creating the foundation for the trip, and Hassan deserves equal credit for bringing it to life on the road. Together, they gave us something that is difficult to find with organized travel: the feeling that the people arranging your trip actually care about how you experience it. We have traveled to many places, and we know that no trip is perfect because travel naturally comes with unexpected changes and little challenges. What matters is how those moments are handled. Throughout our nine days, we felt that we were in capable hands. That gave us the freedom to stop worrying about logistics and simply enjoy Jordan. If someone asked us whether we would recommend this experience, the answer would be an easy yes. And if someone asked whether we would choose Lucy and Hassan again, the answer would be an even easier yes. Lucy — thank you for making the planning process so easy and for being available whenever we needed you. Hassan — thank you for nine days of safe driving, good company, patience, and genuine hospitality. You both played a major role in turning our visit to Jordan into something much more meaningful than a simple vacation. Absolutely recommended. Nine days passed far too quickly, but the memories will stay with us for a very long time. Jordan gave us the adventure. Lucy gave us the confidence to book it. Hassan gave us the perfect way to experience it. If you're planning a Jordan trip, don't just choose an itinerary — choose the people who will make you remember it. We were very lucky to have Lucy and Hassan.
