This tour is unique because we will visit the part of the Salinas Reserve and Aguada Blanca where the lagoons are formed, where the natural production of salt exists, in addition to the full view of high Andean animals such as South American camelids, flamingos and parihuanas, It should be noted that in some seasons they are more visible than in others. We will have a prodigious view of the guardian volcanoes such as Misti and Chachani, with a very close view of the Pichu Pichu Volcano. The tour ends in the afternoon. You will be able to know the wonder of this National Reserve.

Tour wad a 1/5
Pickup was communicated for 6-6:20am The evening before (after 8pm) we got the information that pickup will be between 5:20-5:35; unknowingly we woke up at 5:20, rushed to the pickup point and were there in time. Yet no answer and we were left waiting until 6:17. Then the driver didn’t speak any English so we didn’t know if it’s the correct bus or not. Entering the bus, we noticed we were the last ones to be picked up. With us, the bus was full and the seats extremely small and uncomfortable. One our later we arrived at the breakfast stop where we met our „tour guide“ for the first time. Her English was maybe A2 level; barely understandable. Breakfast consisted of two simple breads with either egg or cheese and a coffee for 10 soles. Thereafter a short drive to the first touristic stop where you can take pictures with the volcanoes in the back, including a feeding adventure with alpacas and llamas for 5 soles. After another horrible 1 1/2 hours of driving to the Salinas, you can take pictures on the Salinas, with dinosaurs or rent a quad. Still no real guidance from the „English“-speaking tour guide, most of her instructions were in Spanish. The only plus point is that she’s taking nice pictures for you. After that, we returned to Arequipa. No lunch spot, no hot springs, no drive around the whole Salinas as promised. If I could I would rate it 0/5. definitely NOT recommend this tour.

They need to update the transport
First, this is not an 8 hours tour. 7 hours tops from pick up to drop off. So don't expect the 8-10 hours duration. Pick up was late. A small car with very uncomfortable seats. We were 14people plus the driver and the guide. No room for a needle more. We ended up seated in the worst possible seats. No room for our legs. Very old car so the seats in front of ours reclined more than what you would expect. Also, a very bumpy road and it sounded like the car was about to fall apart. Our backs ached for awhile after the tour. The guide was friendly, but not many points about what we were experiencing from him. Also, there was no live commentary during the drive and he didn't point out any sights along the way. Two hours each way trapped there was really a bad experience. Why my rate of 3 and not 2 or 1? The "laguna de Salinas" is beautiful. We got to watch flamingoes, alpacas, vicuñas, llamas, etc. We climb some, walk, took pictures and enjoyed "chicharron de alpaca". I recommend that you ask the order in which you will be picked up. If you are going to be the 10th of more, don't go. You'll end up hating the tour.

Dangerous and Lies
We booked this tour, but unfortunately, on the way to the destination, a wheel came off the minivan! Thankfully, no one was hurt, but this raises serious concerns about the safety and maintenance of the company’s vehicles. The tour had to be cancelled as they could not provide a replacement minivan in time. Due to the remote location, we ultimately had to get into a passing articulated lorry to get back to town. I understand that unexpected things can happen and are not always within a company’s control. However, the company told us we would receive a full refund, which they have failed to provide. GetYourGuide contacted the agency, but they claimed the tour had been completed in full and refused the refund. This was simply not true. A frightening experience followed by terrible customer service. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this company.

Scenery great.
Pick up was ok at 6 am.Vehicle was a 4WD. After collecting another four (six total) we set off. Mist if the road up to the nature reserve was a dirt road so a 4WD was suitable. We collected the bread for breakfast on the way. Reaching the reserve approximately 8am we had breakfast (15 soles) at a table outside, but I think in rain it would have been under cover. Bread, cheese, apple and quinoa juice and tea. The alpacas came on cue and the driver gave us dried plants to give them. We carried on another fifteen minutes to the lake and thermal spring and had 1.5 hrs free time to wander around. Two Ladies went into the thermal pool but said it was only luke warm. (10 soles for national park and 5 soles for thermals used or not) undoubtedly it is an area of great scenery with Misti and Pichu Pichu in their glory. However all the flamingoes were at the other side of the lake and we couldn’t go there because we had to get back. The drive back to Arequipa and through town was very fast, (I’m no wuss as I used to drive a 4WD LWB myself. We we dropped off at 1pm

A nice way to see the nature outside Arequipa
A relatively short day trip from Arequipa, with stops for breakfast and lunch. There was time to stop and see the surrounding mountains from a nice viewpoint, and there were animals such as alpacas and flamingos to see. The roads were dusty, and it felt like the sand got everywhere.
