We had a fantastic 8-hour sightseeing tour of Budapest on August 10, 2026, and our guide, Gergely Szabó, made the experience truly exceptional. Gergely has an impressive knowledge of Budapest’s history as well as the broader history of Hungary and the region. Throughout the day, he brought the city’s landmarks, neighborhoods, and historical events to life with fascinating stories, context, and details. His explanations helped us understand not only what we were seeing, but also the historical and cultural significance behind it. Despite being a full 8-hour tour, the day was engaging, enjoyable, and very well paced. Gergely was professional, personable, patient, and clearly passionate about sharing his knowledge.
