Outstanding 8-Hour Budapest Tour with Gergely Szabó
We had a fantastic 8-hour sightseeing tour of Budapest on August 10, 2026, and our guide, Gergely Szabó, made the experience truly exceptional. Gergely has an impressive knowledge of Budapest’s history as well as the broader history of Hungary and the region. Throughout the day, he brought the city’s landmarks, neighborhoods, and historical events to life with fascinating stories, context, and details. His explanations helped us understand not only what we were seeing, but also the historical and cultural significance behind it. Despite being a full 8-hour tour, the day was engaging, enjoyable, and very well paced. Gergely was professional, personable, patient, and clearly passionate about sharing his knowledge. We came away with a much deeper appreciation of Budapest and its remarkable history. We highly recommend Gergely Szabó to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and engaging guide in Budapest. A truly memorable experience and one of the highlights of our visit!

The best way to experience Budapest in ONE DAY!
Gergő (Gregory) was our driver and guide for the day and he was amazing! We spent 8 hours with him and it flew as he brought us to all the amazing sites of Pest and then Buda. He explained the complicated history of Hungary from its vast wealth and strength to its Communist occupation, and to its politics of today - a member of the EU but with an anti-EU government in place which highlights the huge divide between the city and country electorate. We covered so much on this day tour and it helped put everything into context so we knew where we wanted to re-visit at a slower pace. Budapest is beyond awesome with billions spent restoring the city to its former glory - it gives Paris and Saint Petersburg a run for their money (but at the expense of much needed utilities and facilities for the Hungarian people). Gergő customised the tour to suit us and found the perfect place for us to stop for lunch. We would highly recommend this tour - particularly if you want to get the best out of Budapest on a short trip!
