Fast and furious

The tour was good, the bikes in good condition, the roads great but demanding. People who like riding the tight twisty roads will love it. The guides run at a fast hectic pace which is ok for the more experienced riders, you can ride at your own pace as they have tail end sweepers at the rear and a support van as well. The accomodation was of good standard. I had a German guide on my tour good person experienced rider but his English left a bit to be desired and his local knowledge of the areas was a bit limited. Communications at the start of the tour at the briefing was a bit confusing and we suffered departure delays due to a mix up in hotel pick ups. There was also some confusing information on my last day as to what the plan for the dsy was going to be there was 5 of us going back to chiang Mai but whe had been told 4 different stories as to what was happening. However we all got back safe All in all a good tour.

Response from the operator: Thank you, Anthony, for your detailed feedback. We’ll take this into account to improve our services, particularly in communication and coordination aspects. Your kind words and constructive criticism are much appreciated.

Fitted alot of rides in and interesting stop offs, 1120miles in 8 days with day 6 being g a rest day

Our guide Pong although young was really experienced on the areas we were riding. He gave a thorough briefing every morning on the road conditions to where were traveling that day and also in the evening to what we were doing next day. A good selection of motorcycles to choose from, with some most excellent rated biking routes in Thailand as part of the itinerary. Kay the co-owner very enthusiastic about motorcycling also made this a very enjoyable experience.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience! We're thrilled you enjoyed the routes, motorcycles, and guidance from Pong. We'll let Kay and Pong know their efforts made your trip memorable. Hope to see you on another adventure soon!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chiang Mai.

How much does 8 Day Motorcylce Tour (Ultimate Trails) from Chiang Mai, Thailand cost?

+

Prices start at $3600 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chiang Mai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 8 Day Motorcylce Tour (Ultimate Trails) from Chiang Mai, Thailand take?

+

Plan for about 192 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chiang Mai is not rushed.

Is 8 Day Motorcylce Tour (Ultimate Trails) from Chiang Mai, Thailand worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 8 Day Motorcylce Tour (Ultimate Trails) from Chiang Mai, Thailand?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 72 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 8 Day Motorcylce Tour (Ultimate Trails) from Chiang Mai, Thailand suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 21. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 192-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book 8 Day Motorcylce Tour (Ultimate Trails) from Chiang Mai, Thailand?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 192-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 8 Day Motorcylce Tour (Ultimate Trails) from Chiang Mai, Thailand start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?

+

On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
