We had an absolutely wonderful experience on our 8-day tour of Jordan with Tour Experts. From start to finish, everything was exceptionally well organized, and the entire trip was comfortable, enjoyable, and completely stress-free. As a married couple, we especially appreciated how well the itinerary balanced sightseeing, relaxation, and quality time together. We were able to experience the highlights of Jordan, including Petra, Wadi Rum, the Dead Sea, and so many beautiful places, while also having enough time to enjoy each destination without feeling rushed. A special thank you goes to our driver, Malek, who was truly outstanding. He was professional, friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and always made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. He went above and beyond to make our journey smooth and memorable, and his helpful recommendations and local knowledge added so much to our experience. We always felt safe and well taken care of with him. Tour Experts did an excellent job with the planning and organization. Everything was handled professionally, communication was great, and we felt that we were in very good hands throughout the entire 8 days. Jordan is an incredible country, but having the right agency and driver made our experience even more special. We would highly recommend Tour Experts and Malek to any couple looking for a memorable, comfortable, and well-organized trip to Jordan. 8 Days in Jordan — The Kind of Trip You Keep Talking About
Some trips are just a collection of places you visit. This one felt more like a story that kept getting better every day. We spent 8 days traveling around Jordan, and by the time we reached the end, it honestly felt strange to think that we had only been there for a little over a week. We saw ancient cities, enormous deserts, mountains, the Dead Sea, busy streets, quiet villages, incredible food, and some of the most beautiful landscapes we've experienced. But what made this trip different wasn't only the places. It was the people, the little moments between the big attractions, and especially our driver Omar, who became such an important part of the experience. We were traveling with Operation Lucy, and from the beginning, the organization of the trip made everything much easier. With eight days and so many different places to cover, there were obviously a lot of moving parts. Instead of spending our holiday worrying about directions, transportation, timing, parking, and how to get from one place to another, we could concentrate on actually being there. And then there was Omar. A driver can simply be the person sitting behind the wheel. Omar was much more than that. After a few days, getting into the car didn't feel like getting into a tour vehicle anymore. It felt like getting into the car of someone we already knew. He knew when we wanted to talk, when we wanted to sit quietly and look out the window, when we needed a coffee break, and when we were probably hungry even before we admitted it. He was professional when it mattered, but he also had a very natural, relaxed way of dealing with people. There was no feeling of being watched by the clock every minute. Day after day, Jordan kept surprising us Our journey took us through some of the country's most incredible places, and each day had a completely different personality. Amman was our introduction to Jordan. The city is lively, busy, steep, sometimes chaotic, and full of character. We explored its historical side, walked through the old areas, and started getting our first taste of Jordanian hospitality. Then came Jerash, where walking between the enormous Roman columns made history feel surprisingly close. It's one thing to read about Roman cities; it's another thing to stand in the middle of one. We continued south toward Petra, and this was one of those places where expectations are almost impossible to meet because you've seen the pictures so many times. And then you arrive. Walking through the Siq and seeing the Treasury appear at the end was still a completely different experience from seeing it on a screen. Petra is not just one monument. The deeper we went, the more we realized how enormous the ancient city actually was. We spent hours exploring, walking, climbing, stopping for photos, and simply trying to take it all in. Then Jordan changed again. Wadi Rum was another world After Petra, we headed toward Wadi Rum, and the landscape seemed to belong to another planet. The enormous sandstone mountains, open desert, changing colors, and silence were incredible. We went on a Jeep safari, and this was definitely one of the moments that will stay with us. There is something very different about being in the middle of the desert with no buildings around you. And watching the sunset there was unforgettable. The light slowly changed across the rocks, the temperature dropped, and everything became quiet. It was one of those moments when everyone in the group stopped talking because there wasn't really anything to say. We simply watched. Spending the night in Wadi Rum made it even better. Seeing the desert during the day is one experience. Seeing the sky at night is another. Then came the Dead Sea The next part of the journey took us toward the Dead Sea, and after all the walking and exploring, it was exactly what we needed. Floating in the water was as strange as everyone says it is. 😂 You can read about it, you can see photographs, but until you're actually lying in the water and realizing you can't sink normally, it doesn't quite make sense. It was a completely different experience from Petra and Wadi Rum, which is one of the things I loved about Jordan. Every few days, it felt like we were visiting a different country. But the road between the destinations was part of the adventure too One thing I didn't expect before coming to Jordan was how much I would enjoy the drives. Normally, long drives during a holiday can feel like wasted time. Not here. The scenery constantly changed, and Omar made the journeys enjoyable. We talked about Jordan, food, history, local life, and all sorts of completely random things. There were also plenty of laughs. And there were moments when we simply sat quietly and watched the landscape pass by. That is something I think is easy to overlook when reviewing a tour. The best memories aren't always made when you're standing in front of a famous monument. Sometimes they're made during a random conversation in the car, a roadside stop, a cup of coffee, or a joke that makes absolutely no sense to anyone who wasn't there. The food deserves its own review Jordanian food quickly became one of the unexpected highlights. We tried different local dishes, snacks, sweets, and of course plenty of mansaf** and falafel. There were meals where we sat down thinking we'd just have something quick and ended up staying much longer because there was always something else to try. Omar also helped us with recommendations, which was much better than simply following the most obvious tourist suggestions. And yes, by the end of eight days, we were eating like we'd been adopted by a Jordanian family. 😂 The best part? It never felt like we were just ticking boxes That's probably the biggest compliment I can give this trip. We didn't feel like: “Stop. Take picture. Get back in car. Next attraction.” There was room to actually experience the places. We could ask questions. We could change the pace. We could stop when something caught our attention. We could sit and enjoy a view instead of immediately moving to the next one. And Omar understood that. He wasn't constantly trying to fill the silence with information or rush us toward the next stop. He let the experience happen naturally. Eight days later... By the end of the trip, Jordan didn't feel like a destination anymore. It felt familiar. We knew the smell of coffee in the morning. We recognized the landscape changing as we drove south. We knew what it felt like to walk through Petra after hours of exploring. We knew the silence of Wadi Rum. We knew the strange feeling of floating in the Dead Sea. We knew that a five-minute coffee stop could somehow turn into half an hour. And we knew that when we got back into the car, Omar would probably have another story or joke waiting for us. That's what made the eight days special. Operation Lucy gave us the structure and organization that allowed us to see so much of Jordan without spending our holiday worrying about logistics. Omar gave the journey its personality. And Jordan itself gave us the memories. If you're thinking about visiting Jordan, I would strongly recommend giving yourself more than just a couple of days if you can. Petra and Wadi Rum are incredible, but the country deserves time. The best parts are sometimes between the famous places. Eight days gave us enough time to slow down, look around, talk to people, try things we hadn't planned, and actually enjoy the journey. Would we do it again? Absolutely. Would we change much? Probably not. Except maybe we'd stay longer. A huge thank you to Operation Lucy for putting everything together, and especially to Omar, who started the trip as our driver and somehow ended it feeling like a friend. Jordan gave us the scenery. Omar gave us the laughs. The journey gave us the memories. And eight days later, we left with one problem: We weren't ready to leave. Jordan, we'll be back.
