Misleading tour description, not recommended
1 star – Misleading tour description The transfer started with a completely overcrowded pickup truck. There were 10 people sitting in the back (where there was only room for 8), and my 14-year-old son and I had to share the passenger seat. The 200 baht national park fee had to be paid in cash. Despite asking, I did not receive a receipt, only the suggestion that I could take a photo of the money being handed over. Even before setting sail, the guide explained that one island has been closed for a long time for nature conservation. Nevertheless, the tour continues to be sold as a 7-island tour. In fact, we were only able to step onto Koh Tup (Thale Waek) and Koh Poda; Chicken Island was merely a photo stop. So it is 2 islands, one photo stop, and 3x swimming/snorkeling. There were 32 people + 3 crew + 2 guides on the longtail boat. Tight as a nutshell. The ride was so rough that several guests became seasick; two had to vomit. The guides then handed out sick bags. Nothing more was done. Apparently a familiar situation. The snorkeling spots were disappointing. Mostly dead coral. Overall, pure mass processing and, from our perspective, clearly misleadingly described. Not recommended.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We are sorry to hear that some aspects of your experience did not meet your expectations. Regarding the number of passengers on the boat, we would like to clarify that all of our tours strictly follow the regulations set by the relevant authorities. The passenger capacity of each boat is controlled by law, and we never operate beyond the permitted limit. Our team always prioritizes safety and follows the required standards for every departure. For the National Park entrance fee, this fee is not collected by our company but is paid directly to the National Park officers at the entrance. The payment must be made in cash, as credit card payment is not accepted by the National Park. If guests require a receipt, they can request one directly from the National Park staff. This fee is a government-required charge that applies equally to all visitors entering the protected area. Regarding the itinerary, we understand your concerns about the description. Some areas may have changes depending on current conditions, including conservation measures, safety regulations, and instructions from local authorities. Our team always follows the latest guidelines to ensure that activities are conducted responsibly and safely. As for the sea conditions, your trip took place during the rainy season, when weather and wave conditions can change quickly and are beyond our control. However, please be assured that we never operate a trip unless it has been assessed as safe. Every departure is made only after consideration by the captain, experienced crew, and relevant authorities. The safety of our guests, staff, and the environment remains our highest priority. We are sorry that the rough sea conditions and the overall atmosphere did not provide the experience you were hoping for. We truly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue improving our service. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future, especially during the dry season when the weather and sea conditions are usually more favorable for enjoying the islands and snorkeling. Thank you again for choosing our tour.

Really nice tour with great guide.
Everything worked out great from the booking to the pick-up and return transfer. Very nice photos in crystal clear water. Even Nemo ends up snorkeling. Corals partly unfortunately dead, but you can find enough fish. Staff very helpful. Luminating plankton is great, but you can't always see it.

Island hop!!
From booking to final landing the booking was wonderful. Sun booked us and helped us along the way with notification of pick up. We did 7 island. The boat staff was really helpful with loading and unloading at each island , they also helped a few fellow explorers with floating, swimming and snorkeling I thought that was so great to see! Over all it was a great experience!!

7 island sunset tour.
The tour was a great experience, good snorkelling and beautifully sun set on the sand bank. BBQ provided had plenty of food. Sila the tour guide was very helpful to everyone- and had made sure safety was a priority. We had left a towel on the boat after being dropped off and The correspondence in getting the towel back was amazing, the dropped towel off at a location the next day next to our hotel. Definitely 5 start to team

Why this scores 45
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
7 Islands Sunset Tour with Buffet Dinner & Night Snorkeling: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krabi.
How much does 7 Islands Sunset Tour with Buffet Dinner & Night Snorkeling cost?
+
Prices start at $918 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krabi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 7 Islands Sunset Tour with Buffet Dinner & Night Snorkeling take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krabi is not rushed.
Is 7 Islands Sunset Tour with Buffet Dinner & Night Snorkeling worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 45 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krabi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 7 Islands Sunset Tour with Buffet Dinner & Night Snorkeling?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 7 Islands Sunset Tour with Buffet Dinner & Night Snorkeling suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 7 Islands Sunset Tour with Buffet Dinner & Night Snorkeling?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krabi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krabi and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 7 Islands Sunset Tour with Buffet Dinner & Night Snorkeling start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krabi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Krabi?
+
On Outty we rank every Krabi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full-Day Phi Phi Islands Tour with Lunch from Krabi, Phi Phi Early Bird & 4 Islands - Day Tour by Speedboat From Krabi, Railay and 4-Island Sunset Speedboat Cruise with Night Snorkel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Krabi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Krabi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
