Animal safari and gorilla trekking
We booked a 7-day safari with them because they offered the itinerary that best matched what we wanted to experience. They were very accommodating. Even when Ebola cases began appearing in Uganda, they adjusted our itinerary to help us feel more comfortable and confident about our trip, which we really appreciated. Our guide, Kenneth, helped make the safari unforgettable. He took excellent care of us throughout the week. We always felt safe, and he made sure we got the most out of every excursion. Kenneth's knowledge of the wildlife, local culture, and customs added so much to the experience. We highly recommend this company, and especially Kenneth as a guide. We hope to return someday to experience some of the activities we didn't have time to do on this trip!

Incredible 5 Star Trip, With Gorilla Trekking & Safaris
Wow! What a trip! Big Apes Africa helped us to create a lifetime of memories in only 8 days. For logistical reasons our week was split between 3 guides - and all 3 were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were very caring, friendly, extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife, 100% customer-focused and professional. They were clearly very proud of their country and wanted us to see as much of it as possible - with a full-on, non-stop itinerary. We were very well looked after and felt extremely safe at all times. Thank you so much Blair, Gerald and Ismail. Days were long (with early starts and late finishes) and it was hard going, with many hours spent in the (non air conditioned) van on endless potholed roads - but that only added to the authentic African experience. As we were on a private tour we had lots of space in the van and driving along with the windows open allowed us to experience a comfortable trip with a cool breeze, with the multitude of sights, sounds and smells of the real Uganda. Highlights of the trip were many - but of course the gorilla trekking was top of the bill. Spending an hour in very close proximity to a group of 9 gorillas (including a baby) was beyond incredible and we feel very privileged to have experienced it. We flew into Kigali (but out of Entebbe), so other highlights included golden monkey trekking in Rwanda, the genocide museum in Kigali (gut wrenching and very upsetting but, nevertheless, a must see); and, in Uganda, chimpanzee trekking, rhino trekking, a visit to the Equator, a guided walk in Bwindi village and swamp (where we saw numerous types of monkeys and birds), a boat cruise on the Nile (with wildlife viewing - including crocodiles, hippos, giraffes and elephants) to Murchison Falls, a drive to the incredible top of the Falls and 3 safari drives in Murchison Falls National Park, during which we saw many animals - including giraffes, buffalo, many types of gazelle and antelope, elephants, warthogs, a lioness with a cub in her mouth and numerous birds. All accommodation was excellent (with great service and good food) and we particularly enjoyed the Bweza (jungle) lodges at Bwindi and Kibale. Elephant Oasis at Murchison Falls was also great; and in a beautiful location. The trip was great value for money, with all meals, park entry fees and trekking permits included and we cannot recommend it highly enough. Big Apes were helpful from start to finish and Bella was particularly helpful with the administration, being happy to accommodate a change to our itinerary at short notice when we requested it. If in doubt... book with Big Apes Africa!

Unforgettable 7-Day Uganda Adventure
Our 7-day Uganda tour was an unforgettable experience, made exceptional by our driver-guide, Tim. His deep knowledge of wildlife and expert tracking skills helped us spot incredible animals on safari in Murchison Falls National Park. The Gorilla trekking in Bwindi was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Throughout the trip, his professionalism, storytelling, and warm hospitality enriched every moment. If you’re visiting Uganda, I highly recommend requesting Tim—he truly made our adventure extraordinary.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kampala.
How much does 7 Days murchison falls with chimp and gorilla safari cost?

How long does 7 Days murchison falls with chimp and gorilla safari take?

Is 7 Days murchison falls with chimp and gorilla safari worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Kampala, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 7 Days murchison falls with chimp and gorilla safari?

How far in advance should I book 7 Days murchison falls with chimp and gorilla safari?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kampala can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kampala and add a light layer if any part of the 168-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+

What are the best things to do in Kampala?
+
On Outty we rank every Kampala experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kampala’s Best Experience walking tour, Kampala Walking City Tours (Women-Guided), Kampala Heart of Walking Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kampala?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kampala?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
