    I had a great time

I booked the 7-days trip through Banff, Jasper, Waterton and Drumheller. To start it off, it's a bilingual tour in English and Mandarin. I didn't mind that at all, but there was an English-speaking woman on my tour that kept complaining about that, so be aware of that. The airport pick-up worked well and I had no issues. The Best Western Premier Hotel is located near a lot of supermarkets and food shops, so you will find something within a 10 min walk. It was a pretty good hotel in my opinion. The Mount Royal Hotel and Canalta Lodge in Banff were pretty good too. With the later being a bit further from the town center, but still within walking distance in my opinion. I didn't really like the Tonqin Inn in Jasper, as I thought it was too noisy. You could hear everyone. But I would say over all the hostel selection was very good! Your tour guide and potentially your group changes depending on the trip. I had a total of four guides. Kan, Patrick, Rogers and Sonya. Kan did an amazing job, in my opinion. He gave a enough information and good recommendations. He even helped me out when I had some communication issue, which I absolutely appreciate! I had a good talk with Rogers and Sonya is like a very bubbly and lively guide. Overall I think all of them did a good job and I was able to see and learn some new things thanks to them! All of them also offered to take pictures of you. And we took some additional stops when we had the time and saw a beautiful scenery! The itinerary was in my opinion good and well thought out! I got to see a lot of different things and had an over all great experience!

A wonderfull and memorable trip to Rockies

Here’s a warm, polished review you can post: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an amazing 7-day tour of the Canadian Rockies with Joseph as our tour guide! He was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and made the entire trip enjoyable and stress-free. Joseph did a great job explaining the history and highlights of each place we visited, while also making sure everyone was comfortable and having a good time. His organization, helpful nature, and positive attitude really made a difference throughout the trip. The Rockies were absolutely beautiful, and having Joseph, Stella, Dee and Rogers as our guide made the experience even more memorable. Thank you, Joseph, for making our 7-day journey such a wonderful experience! Highly recommended! 🏔️✨

    Local travel agents not...

Local travel agents not eloquent in English and didn't give much explanations on attractions. Poor customer service. Squeeze all passengers in 14 seater vehicle. No flexibility to change seat to ensure all passengers sit comfortably. Safety was compromise as passengers couldn't put on seat belts. Aircon not working in vehicle. No aircon and lift in hotel.

Response from the operator: Hello Margaret, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that some aspects of your 7-day tour did not meet your expectations. At Westar Travel, passenger safety and comfort are always our top priorities. We would like to clarify that during the 7-day tour, 3 days were operated using a 55-seat coach, and you were also provided complimentary front-row seats to enhance our guests’ comfort and convenience. For the days operated with our 14-seat vehicle, the vehicle was used within its designated capacity, and seat belts were provided for all passengers. We regret if you experienced any difficulty using them during the tour. We also appreciate your comments regarding the seating arrangements and the amount of information provided about the attractions. We continuously work with our guides to provide knowledgeable, engaging, and professional service, and we will take your feedback seriously. Regarding the air conditioning and hotel facilities, we’re sorry for any inconvenience these issues may have caused. Some hotel amenities are dependent on the property and are outside of our direct control. We value your feedback and appreciate your choosing Westar Travel. We will continue working to improve our tours and provide our guests with a safe, comfortable, and memorable experience. -Westar Travel Team

    Thank you, Stella!

Today's Banff itineraries, while not stunning, are still five-star rated thanks to our guide Stella. Not only does she have solid expertise and serious responsibility, but she also puts herself in the shoes of tourists everywhere, and her meticulous care makes her feel warm. Thank you, Stella! I look forward to the opportunity to take another guided tour in the future.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Calgary.

How much does 7-Day Rockies Tour : Banff, Jasper, Yoho, Drumheller & Waterton cost?

    +

Prices start at $1,410 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Calgary usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 7-Day Rockies Tour : Banff, Jasper, Yoho, Drumheller & Waterton take?

    +

Plan for about 168 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Calgary is not rushed.

Is 7-Day Rockies Tour : Banff, Jasper, Yoho, Drumheller & Waterton worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Calgary, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 7-Day Rockies Tour : Banff, Jasper, Yoho, Drumheller & Waterton?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is 7-Day Rockies Tour : Banff, Jasper, Yoho, Drumheller & Waterton suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 168-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 7-Day Rockies Tour : Banff, Jasper, Yoho, Drumheller & Waterton?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Calgary can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Calgary and add a light layer if any part of the 168-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Calgary?

    +

On Outty we rank every Calgary experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Discover Banff National Park - Premium Day Trip, Day of Dinosaurs & Hoodoos from Calgary to Drumheller Badlands, Drumheller & Hoodoos Day Trip from Calgary, Explore the Badlands. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Calgary?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Calgary?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
