Amazing Silk Road trip

I've always wanted to explore the cities on the Silk Road and I was happy when I stumbled upon this tour. From the beginning everything went smoothly: if there were any issues that appeared I was contacted in advance to discuss the necessary adjustments so that the trip wouldn't have to be affected. They were also always available for my questions which they answered everytime as soon as possible. Thank you Ulugbek for organizing this amazing trip. We couldn't have asked for a better organizer. It was so convenient to have even the taxis organized for us, to be picked up to and from the airport or train stations. I would also like to mention the tour guides we had: Ziyad in Tashkent, who told us funny anecdotes, explained local customs, and took us to our first ever plov (pilaf) restaurant; Sevara who took us through the history of Khiva and made a great restaurant recommendation; Nargiza in Bukhara who beautifully explained the history of Uzbekistan, the history of the Silk Road, myths and legends of Bukhara and took us to a beautiful cafe with amazing views of the city; and last but not least Aziza in Samarkand who revealed to us the role of the city on the Silk Road, told us the history of Amir Timur and took us to an amazing restaurant with traditional Uzbek food. Talking to all of them really made us better understand Uzbek culture and it was great to discuss and compare our different ways of life. Uzbek people although they might seem serious when you first meet them, they are warmhearted, kind and very hospitable.

good tour

you could have had praise, but you provided us even if the tour was in Italian 4 English guides and only the last Italian otherwise punctual taxis two normal English guides very prepared the third and the Italian excellent idea of the bunk on the train fully respected the tour of attractions to see overall a good service

Cordiali saluti,

Fabulous, memorable & informative trip

Fantastic, informative & enjoyable trip. It was so well organised by Ulugbek, everything went according to plan. All the drivers & guides were excellent, punctual and professional. Nargiza was exceptional in Bukhara, she gave a most memorable today Being able also to adjust the trip and add on another trip was great. We added on & thoroughly enjoyed the 7 lakes trip with Islom& Ardik. Islom explained very well about the border which was a scene & a bit stressful. Ardik gave us a fabulous day. My husband wanted to birdwatch there and Ardik was extremely flexible & accommodating especially when it came to stopping, We opted for the accommodation option and all the hotels were very good bar the one in Tashkent but this is my only complaint of the whole trip. I thoroughly recommend this trip, it’s captures so much and you can adjust it too when it has been booked. You wont be disappointed.

Response from the operator: Dear Therese Shorten, Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed feedback. We are truly delighted to hear that you had such a fantastic, informative, and enjoyable trip with us. It is especially rewarding to know that the tour organization met your expectations and that everything went smoothly throughout your journey. We will be very happy to pass your kind words on to Ulugbek, Nargiza, Islom, and Ardik — they will be thrilled to know they helped make your experience so memorable. We are particularly pleased that you enjoyed the added 7 Lakes trip and appreciated the flexibility to customize your itinerary. It’s great to hear that Ardik’s accommodation to your husband’s birdwatching interests made the experience even more special. Thank you as well for your honest comment regarding the hotel in Tashkent. We truly value this feedback and will review it carefully as we continuously work to improve our services and accommodation standards. Your recommendation means a great deal to us, and we are very grateful for your trust. We hope to welcome you again in the future for another unforgettable adventure. Warm regards, Ulugbek

5/5 stars !!!

5/5 stars !!! Two of the best guides we’ve ever had — Aziza & Nargiza, Silk Tour Uzbekistan. We were incredibly lucky to have both Aziza and Nargiza as our guides in Uzbekistan, and honestly, they were both outstanding. It’s rare to find one guide this good, let alone two on the same trip. Both Aziza and Nargiza were incredibly patient and kind to our whole group. No matter how many questions we asked, they answered happily and never made us feel rushed. You could immediately see their genuine passion for Uzbekistan — its history, culture, and people. Aziza brought every mosque and monument to life. She didn’t just point things out; she shared the rich history and stories behind each site with so much detail that we could actually understand and remember them. Nargiza matched that same energy. She explained everything with such enthusiasm and made sure we grasped the meaning behind each place we visited. What impressed us most was how well they managed the entire trip. Between the two of them, they made sure every accommodation was sorted, every request we made was included, and we still kept to schedule. Not a single thing we asked for was missed, and nothing ever felt rushed or overlooked. They both went above and beyond to accommodate all of us. And not forgetting the amazing butter chicken restaurant Nargiza brought us to — such a great find! If you’re heading to Uzbekistan with Silk Tour, ask for Aziza or Nargiza. They are genuinely two of the best and made our trip absolutely unforgettable. Thank you, Aziza and Nargiza!

Travel in Tajikistan

It's a very interesting trip but be prepared for a crossing at the border, I would say, particular, at least it was for us. We were walking and it was raining.

6- Day Private Tour to Tashkent, Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tashkent.

How much does 6- Day Private Tour to Tashkent, Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand cost?

+

Prices start at $712 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tashkent usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 6- Day Private Tour to Tashkent, Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand take?

+

Plan for about 144 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tashkent is not rushed.

Is 6- Day Private Tour to Tashkent, Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tashkent, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 6- Day Private Tour to Tashkent, Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 6- Day Private Tour to Tashkent, Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 144-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 6- Day Private Tour to Tashkent, Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand?

+

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tashkent can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tashkent and add a light layer if any part of the 144-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 6- Day Private Tour to Tashkent, Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tashkent within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tashkent?

+

On Outty we rank every Tashkent experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Explore Amirsoy, Chimgan & Charvak – A Full-Day Mountain Tour, Samarkand One Day Tour - Departure From Tashkent, Best Of Tashkent: Amirsoy Skiing Resort, Chimgan and Charvak Lake. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tashkent?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tashkent?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
