A must-do! Ask for Osborne, Shadrek,Nkosi and Byron!
My mum and I had the ABSOLUTE TIME on this cruise!!!! The food, made by Chef Byrone, was top notch! Polenta never tasted as good as it did when he made it! Shadrek, our mixologist, made sure our glasses were constantly flowing, interesting and paired well! He was well versed in all the wines he served us! Our Captain, Nkosi, made sure that we had time to take pictures of the scenic route, hippos/ crocs and sunset, and the icing on the cake? Our host, Osborne! He made sure we he gave us a briefin on everything ZAMBEZI! He really made the experience unforgettable!!!We had a time with the team of 4 and I cannot wait to do it again! I'd ask for them when I do! They made the experience EXCEPTIONAL!!!
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share such a vibrant account of your cruise with your mother. Reading your review brought a massive smile to our faces! Providing an exceptional experience is always our goal, and it sounds like Chef Byrone, Shadrek, Captain Nkosi, and Osborne delivered exactly that. From the culinary delights and perfect wine pairings to the rich local knowledge and wildlife sightings, they truly love what they do. We would be absolutely delighted to host you both again.

Superb tour, wouldn’t change a thing
This dinner cruise was exceptional! The boat is beautiful, the crew is friendly and the food and wine are superb. The dishes are beautifully plated and delicious. There is a wine paring with each plate and you can order anything else to drink at any time. Cruising on the Zambezi river, seeing hippos and crocodiles while enjoying a beautiful meal was spectacular. You might be thinking it’s pricey but it is worth every cent.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review and recommendation Liliana! We are thrilled to hear that you found the classic dinner cruise exceptional—from the Zambezi views and wildlife to our food and wine pairings. Our team works hard to make every moment special, and knowing it was worth every cent to you means the world to us. We hope to welcome you back on board for another spectacular evening soon

An Exceptional Experience
This is an exceptional experience and well worth the cost(buy directly from Pure Africa). From the moment you arrive on the red carpet that takes you on to the boat and the welcome drinks to the time that you leave at 8pm you will have highly professional service. Sharon as your waitress is delightful and besides delivering the superb food prepared by the chef she points out the wildlife along with sights as we cruise. We did not expect to do another game drive on the Zambezi River while having a degustation dinner! The food served, highlighting some African meats like Ostrich tataki and Kudu, would match any fine dining experience in the world and that includes Michelin restaurants. We have experienced many so I don’t say this lightly. The wines are sourced from the Stellenbosch region of South Africa and are labelled with ‘Pure’ reflecting the Pure Africa experience. We were served a great range of wines, well matched to each course. Shadreck, as our waiter was also delightful and his photography services were also top notch. If you can fit it in there is an amazing selection of spirits, especially of Gins. This was our last night of 17 days in Kenya and Zimbabwe visiting three different safari camps so this was a fantastic finale. We were only 4 passengers on our ‘exclusive’ dinner cruise and I can’t recommend it enough. While the three other staff onboard: the captain, chef and barman were more behind the scenes than Sharon and Shadreck they did superlative work. Thanks for your songs and making this a very special evening.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for choosing Pure Africa to host the grand finale of your incredible 17-day journey through Kenya and Zimbabwe! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that your dinner cruise was such an exceptional and memorable experience. Our team takes great pride in delivering world-class service, so I will be sure to pass along your wonderful compliments to Sharon, Shadreck, and the rest of the crew. They will be delighted to know that their hospitality, storytelling, and photography made such an impact. It is also fantastic to hear that our curated Stellenbosch wine pairings and African-inspired degustation menu—especially the Ostrich tataki and Kudu—impressed well-traveled fine dining enthusiasts like yourselves! Thank you also for recommending that future guest's book directly with us. It was an absolute pleasure having you on board, and we hope to welcome you back to the Zambezi River someday.

A once in a lifetime experience
Outstanding , Incredible . Stunning are just a few words to describe this wonderful experience . We were treated like royalty . There was a private chef/ captain / waitress and sommelier on board - all of which were so friendly and helpful pointing out the giraffes we saw and the hippos/ crocodiles and the national parks . The whole experience was breathtaking . We shared the experience with just one other couple and felt so special - the sunsets were romantic and this is a MUST DO experience whilst in Africa
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing such a stunning review of your time with us! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that you felt like royalty on board. Our team—from the captain and private chef to our waitress and sommelier takes great pride in creating magical, seamless experiences, and they will be overjoyed to hear your kind words. Spotting the local wildlife against that African sunset is always special but sharing it with guests who appreciate it as much as you did makes it even better. Thank you for the highest recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back on board for another unforgettable journey in the future. Option 2: Short, Sweet & Punchy "Outstanding, incredible, stunning—we couldn't have asked for a better description of your experience! Thank you for such a glowing review. Our crew loved hosting you and pointing out the hippos, crocs, and giraffes along the way. We are so glad the sunset cruise felt so exclusive and special for you. It was truly our pleasure, and we hope your African adventures bring you back our way again soon

Lovely Zambezi Dinner Cruise
My wife and I have just spent 3 nights in Victoria Falls. We decided to book a dinner cruise for one of our evenings and are so pleased we chose the Pure Africa Classic Dinner cruise. We were collected from our hotel and driven to the jetty to get the boat. This was the single level intimate and attractive Zambezi Reflections. We were warmly welcomed into the boat and introduced to the crew and chef. We quickly realised that we had the boat to ourselves which was an unexpected pleasant surprise. The boat is very comfortable the tables are generously sized and spaced with linens tablecloths and napkins. The cruise itself was an absolute joy. Travelling about an hour or so up the river at a leisurely pace before turning round and returning to base. We had the most incredible sunset (photo attached), saw hippos and a crocodile! To be honest we weren’t expecting the food to be anything like as good as it turned out to be. All courses were delicious, thoughtfully designed and exceptionally good. My wife is a little fussy and there were a couple of things on the set menu that should doesn’t eat but we were offered very good alternatives, which were fantastic. As an aside, there are 3 choices for the main course. The dinner comes with a wine pairing but we decided to stick with the very nice Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon both of which were very high quality. Service was friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The star of the show though was the young chef. The quality of what he produced was exceptional and better than the 5 star hotel we were staying at. The ostrich tataki was really good, as was the beetroot and cream cheese foam alternative my wife had.. The spinach and ricotta ravioli was delicate and very good. The springbok main course was extremely good and well presented. My wife was offered an aubergine parmigiana as an alternative to the 4 choices, none of which worked for her. It was also very very good. All in all, this was a very enjoyable, romantic dinner of the highest quality, enhanced by the lovely team. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this cruise.
Response from the operator: Thank you for the detailed beautiful review and recommendation. What a pleasure it was to host you and your wife on our 6-Course Classic Dinner Cruise. We are thrilled that you enjoyed the intimate atmosphere of the Zambezi Reflections and that our culinary team exceeded your expectations. Thank you for your kind words regarding our service and the quality of our wine pairings. We pride ourselves on offering a flexible, world-class dining experience right here on the river, and your recommendation means the world to us.

6 Course Classic Sunset Dinner Cruise on Zambezi River: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Victoria Falls.
How much does 6 Course Classic Sunset Dinner Cruise on Zambezi River cost?
+
Prices start at $185 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Victoria Falls usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 6 Course Classic Sunset Dinner Cruise on Zambezi River take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Victoria Falls is not rushed.
Is 6 Course Classic Sunset Dinner Cruise on Zambezi River worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Victoria Falls, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 6 Course Classic Sunset Dinner Cruise on Zambezi River?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 6 Course Classic Sunset Dinner Cruise on Zambezi River suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 6 Course Classic Sunset Dinner Cruise on Zambezi River?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Victoria Falls can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Victoria Falls and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 6 Course Classic Sunset Dinner Cruise on Zambezi River start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Victoria Falls within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Victoria Falls?
+
On Outty we rank every Victoria Falls experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Victoria Falls Theatre Featuring Simunye: The Spirit of Africa, Victoria Falls Dinner Cruise on the Zambezi River, Guided Tour of the Falls (Zimbabwe side). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Victoria Falls?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Victoria Falls?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
