    2026 Athens visit

We had booked our tours via Firebird tours. Olive Sea travel was a great choice by Firebird. Our tours consisted of the following: - Athens City Tour - Meteora Monasteries - Trip to Delphi - Trip to Corinth, Epidaurus, Mycenae, Nafplion - Sunset tour to Cape Sounion - Trip to Ancient Olympia Nikos was our driver for the 5 of the 6 tours. He did a superb job making our tour great and memorable. He always replenished our bottled water during the tours. Suggested excellent restaurants for lunch and dinner. Our tours guides Vasso, Matina, and Angelo were excellent. They were deeply knowledgeable, knew how to translate history, culture, and stories behind what you’re seeing into vivid narratives. All were highly personable and approachable.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback! We're thrilled to hear that you had a wonderful experience on the 5 Days Private Tour. We aim to provide memorable journeys for our guests and appreciate your support.

    Well Organized and Informative

Olive Sea did a very good job organizing this five day private tour of several key archeological and awe-inspiring sites around mainland Greece. The itinerary was nicely arranged to be engaging but avoid stress, and the lodgings exceeded our expectations. Our driver Christos truly made this a special experience. I say driver, but he was more of a guide. He was smooth navigating the various roads. He shared countless anecdotes and recommendations (his restaurant suggestions were amazing and avoided tourist traps). He provided context around the various sites. In truth, he became more of a friend for our time together, and that made the tour extra special.

Response from the operator: Thank you for choosing Olive Sea Travel for your holidays and the kind feedback about Christos! It is always our aim to make your tours in Greece an experience to remember and to meet your expectations. Christos is a professional driver with great knowledge in Greek history and mythology and very passionate about his job. He is an incredible ambassador of Greece and loves revealing you some of his secrets. All we in Olive Sea Travel try our best to show you Greece we know and love and make you feel like travellers, not tourists. Thank you again for the nice review. We hope to see you again in Greece! Kind regards, Alexander Petronikolos

    Wonderful Addition To Our Honeymoon

We both love history and so for our honeymoon to Greece, it was important to us that we see some of the top archaeological sites. We didn't want to be on a tour bus with tons of people, nor did we want the stress of renting a car and having to find our own way on what should be a relaxing honeymoon experience. After a bit of research on trip advisor, I came across Olive Sea. One of the reasons I reached out to them was because of the various reviews discussing how great the customer service was, etc. That was my experience as well. Given that I was coordinating an important trip halfway across the world and 7 hours ahead of our east coast timezone, it was important that I felt confident in our tour provider. My primary contact before the trip, Dimitra, answered all of my questions, made suggestions without being pushy, and was highly responsive and detail oriented. I was already feeling very good about the tour before we went. Our driver, Christos, picked up the ball from there and ran with it. He was excellent. Truly. We couldn't have been happier. He was friendly, warm, and informative without ever being intrusive (we were on our honeymoon after all). He was flexible and catered to our interests (history nerds). We spent a lot of the driving time chatting with him about Greece, history, and life. The sites themselves were obviously incredible and I would recommend asking Olive Sea to hire guides for you at each. They were really great for adding context and teaching us about the various places we were visiting. For our honeymoon, we went to Athens for a few days, did this tour for 5 days, then Santorini and Paros. All of it was wonderful, but the tour was quite possibly our favorite. In sum, I would recommend Olive Sea without reservation to anyone traveling to Greece.

Response from the operator: Thank you for choosing Olive Sea Travel for your honeymoon and this so kind feedback about our staff and our services. All our tours are private; thus, they are flexible and customized on your needs. Choosing us for such a special occasion makes us so happy and eager to fulfill your expectations, and this review is the best reward for us. Dimitra is a professional agent, passionate with her job and loves organizing your dreamt holidays. Christos, as all our drivers, always tries to make your tours special. He is passionate with his job and his aim is to make your tours a personalized experience that will make you want to return, while his priority is your safety and comfort. All the licensed tour guides we cooperate with are professional and provide you with all the historical information about the archaeological sites you visit, while they can also reveal you secrets only locals know. As a company we want to make you feel like travelers, not tourists and explore Greece on a local way. We will gladly provide you with our personalized services again. Kind regards, Ioanna Gryllaki

    +

Prices start at $443 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 5 Days Private Tour: Meteora - Delphi - Olympia & Argolida take?

Is 5 Days Private Tour: Meteora - Delphi - Olympia & Argolida worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 5 Days Private Tour: Meteora - Delphi - Olympia & Argolida?

Is 5 Days Private Tour: Meteora - Delphi - Olympia & Argolida suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 120-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 5 Days Private Tour: Meteora - Delphi - Olympia & Argolida?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

    +

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
