Efficient, professional, warm, and welcoming – 10/10!
Our tour was wonderful from start to finish. We saw so many incredible animals, stayed in beautiful accommodations, and enjoyed delicious food throughout the journey. However, what truly made the trip unforgettable was the knowledge, kindness, and professionalism of our guide, Mussa. His passion, experience, and warm personality made every moment special.

Exciting, exhausting and lifelong memorable
Fabulous experience, amazing animals... we had such great luck not having to trek far for either the chimpanzees or the gorillas. I probably didn't do enough research to know how long the drives would be. Our itinerary suggested we would be able to do a community walk and swamp walk... after close to 10 hours driving from kampala we did the swamp walk (which was fun) and then reached our lovely camp when it was too dark to see our tea terrace view (but a hot shower we were grateful for)... and outstanding french influenced food... which was amazing. The drive from kibale to Queen elizabeth took us three hours and the drive from Queen eliz Park to bwindi was at least 6 hours drive. The drive are long and sometimes rough and loads of red dirt will enter your nostrils and ears! Ideally you can close the windows and put on air conditioning reduce the discomfort.. if you had asthma it would be essential. So plan your trip knowing the actual drive times.. if you can afford the extra days it would be worth it. Also kibale and Queen elizabeth do night time safari with rangers... they would have been extra money but worthwhile. Rangers track and have loads of knowledge. Eric our driver was always attentive and willing to meet any odd request of ours... but he is of course pressed by the schedule too. Interestingly we saw quite few animals outside of the parks... which was fun.

Mussa and Yonah are the best!
This has been the best vacation we’ve ever had. We spent 6 days with Paradise Adventure Vacations, and every part of our time met or exceeded our expectations. The biggest reason people come to Uganda is to see the great apes, and it was really important for us to see chimpanzees as well as gorillas. Very few groups specialized in this, and Paradise did a great job making sure we were able to see both. We have two children that are technically too young to trek gorilla, but Paradise helped us make sure our kids could have this experience. Their pricing was exceptionally reasonable, especially since it covered all the park fees and permits. The best part of this trip was our guides Mussa and Yonah. We worked with 6 guides during our stay in Africa, and these two were the most fun and had the biggest personality. They also worked the hardest of anyone to make us feel valued and welcome at every step of our journey. It was wonderful to get to know them. Mussa and Yonah were constantly going above and beyond to make the trip amazing, and even changed some of our accommodations on the fly once they got to know us, and put us places that met our interests better than the official itinerary. It was clear they knew their stuff, and they were great ambassadors for Uganda. We asked for mid-range lodging, and the places we stayed at were all great. We’re so glad we had an opportunity to travel with Paradise Adventure Vacations, and we recommend them highly! Thank you so much!

Memorable experience
For my 3 days in Bwindi, I appreciate the tour guide Augustine who was recommended by the director Mr. Musa. The tour was good and I had a great time with gorillas from Rushaga sector. Thank you Musa for the great and first class tour services in your company. I promise to travel again with Paradise adventure vacations.

Why this scores 77
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
5 Days Gorillas & Chimpanzee Trekking Safari in Uganda: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kampala.
How much does 5 Days Gorillas & Chimpanzee Trekking Safari in Uganda cost?
+
Prices start at $213 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kampala usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 5 Days Gorillas & Chimpanzee Trekking Safari in Uganda take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kampala is not rushed.
Is 5 Days Gorillas & Chimpanzee Trekking Safari in Uganda worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kampala, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 5 Days Gorillas & Chimpanzee Trekking Safari in Uganda?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 5 Days Gorillas & Chimpanzee Trekking Safari in Uganda suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 10. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 48-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 5 Days Gorillas & Chimpanzee Trekking Safari in Uganda?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kampala can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kampala and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 5 Days Gorillas & Chimpanzee Trekking Safari in Uganda start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kampala within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kampala?
+
On Outty we rank every Kampala experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kampala Heart of Walking Adventure, Half day Kampala City Motor Bike Tours, Full Day Whitewater Rafting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kampala?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kampala?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
