Fantastic experience
I had a great time in Dumela. Ian was always very helpful when it came to any questions around the program, the food or about Krüger and South Africa in general. He was also often sitting with the guests and we had good and entertaining talks about all kind of topics. The camp was great. Tents are spacious and clean with hot shower. In the evenings Ian put a camp fire and we enjoyed sitting under the stars. There is also a pool to refresh on hot days. I was out in Krüger twice with two different guides, Clement and Evans. Both were very good spotting animals and explaining about the wildlife in the park. The tour with Evans was way longer than expected and we could enjoy the wildlife a bit longer - thank you for this extra effort. The panorama tour was also very nice, whereas I probably would have stayed at some of the places a bit longer to enjoy more the beautiful nature. Thank you very much to the whole MoAfrica team at the Dumela Camp for this great experience!

5 days (4 nights) safari in extended Kruger
MoAfrika Tours and in particolar the agent Rubén helped us to organize a 5 days (4 nights) safari experience in a luxury Tended Camp. Everything was excellent: organization, location, transfert, people, morning and sunset safarie drives. We were able to see a lot of animals includi g big 5 and also wild dogs in a hunting activities. Unforgettable experience for us and our 18 year old son

They know how to do
I took the 5-day Kruger tour. Everything was fine. The transfers were all on time and without any problems. On the tour of Kruger Park, Eddie, the Happy Chappy, was really great. He is a very good guide and kept us all interested throughout the tour, always searching for animals. The people at Damula Tent Camp were also very nice and helpful.

A unique and incredible experience
I stayed 5 days / 4 nights at Dumela Tended Camp. The place is spectacular, a camp in a private reserve where you feel like you are totally in a real safari experience. There are animals all around and you can hear them during the night. All the staff are very nice and friendly. I would like to highlight the cook (I don't remember her name) but all the traditional African food she prepared was delicious and she was always on top of everything. As for the activities, the Sunset Game Drive that takes place in a private reserve on the first day is a good opportunity to see some of the most difficult animals to find in the Kruger, in my case rhinos. The two full days in the Kruger were wonderful. During the two days my guide was Gustaf, a very friendly and experienced guy. He cared about which animals each of us would like to see and we didn't stop until we found them. Gustaf has a great passion for his work and you can feel his enthusiasm when we find unusual animals. It is very nice to have such a person as a guide. He was also my guide during the Panorama Route. A real pleasure to have met him. As an extra activity on the last day I did the Bush Walk. It is a walk of about an hour around another of the camps managed by MoAfrika. The guide explains some things about the vegetation and it is possible to see some animals. In my opinion it was too short, so I would not repeat it. All in all, an incredible experience and totally recommendable!

5 Day Dumela Tented Camp at Kruger National Park: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Johannesburg.
How much does 5 Day Dumela Tented Camp at Kruger National Park cost?
+
Prices start at $1183 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Johannesburg usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 5 Day Dumela Tented Camp at Kruger National Park take?
+
Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Johannesburg is not rushed.
Is 5 Day Dumela Tented Camp at Kruger National Park worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Johannesburg, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 5 Day Dumela Tented Camp at Kruger National Park?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 5 Day Dumela Tented Camp at Kruger National Park suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 120-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 5 Day Dumela Tented Camp at Kruger National Park?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Johannesburg can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Johannesburg and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 5 Day Dumela Tented Camp at Kruger National Park start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Johannesburg within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Johannesburg?
+
On Outty we rank every Johannesburg experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soweto and Johannesburg Exclusive Full Day Guided Tour, Ultimate Johannesburg Soweto Experience with Apartheid Museum, Johannesburg and Soweto tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Johannesburg?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Johannesburg?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
