4 Pastas with Valeria
Our tasting dinner with Valeria was absolutely wonderful! Leading up to our visit, we had been looking for a tour/activity focused on the 4 Roman pastas, and this experience could not have been more perfect. My wife, Valeria and I spent several hours at a restaurant in Trastevere sampling the 4 dishes (each tastier than the next) and getting to know one another. Valeria was friendly, charming, knowledgeable and a fantastic teacher. It was a phenomenal evening from start to finish, and I would (and will) highly recommend it to others!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We’re so happy to hear that your 4 Roman Pastas tasting dinner with Valeria was exactly what you were hoping for — and more! Spending an evening in Trastevere, sharing delicious dishes and great conversation, is what we love most about these experiences. Valeria will be thrilled to hear your kind words — she truly puts her heart into every moment, and we’re so glad it showed. Thank you for the recommendation, and we’d love to welcome you back anytime for more unforgettable flavors and memories in Rome! 💛

A wonderful guide and wonderful food.
We enjoyed our time with Dimitri very much. He is knowledgeable on many topics other than food (an archeologist by day, food guide by night!). Our conversation with him was the best part of the tour. We understand that COVID has made these tours more complicated than they used to be, so when we turned the corner near our destination restaurant and Dimitri discovered that it was closed, there was some concern that our tour might be over very quickly. He was immediately on the phone with the tour operator and soon we were on our way to a different (and open!) restaurant where the promised four-course tasting was successfully and deliciously provided. We feel we have made a new friend in Rome. Thank you Dimitri!

Amazing
Lovey tour of the neighborhood, a local cheese shop, and a dinner of all the Roman pastas! Francesca was so friendly and welcoming. We love her! We will definitely take another of their tours/classes when we come back.
Response from the operator: Hello Nate, Francesca has a heart of gold and a very contagious smile! I am so happy to read that you enjoyed indulging in all 4 Roman Pastas and what makes them up! It is fun tasting them all, knowing about how they came to be, the amazing ingredients that compose them! If to that you add a vibrant and fun neighborhood like Trastevere, then it could not be more local!! I look forward to having you back with us and THANK YOU for having taken the time to share! Grazie Benedetta

Memorable meal
Met our guide and took a leisurely stroll to sample some local meats and cheeses then we arrived at the restaurant for the main event. The pastas and wine were excellent. Service was friendly and efficient. Our guide answered our questions and provided interesting stories about the Trastevere neighborhood. After dinner, we continued our stroll and had some gelato; the gelato was about average. Highly recommend.
Response from the operator: Dear Midarl2016, The 4 Roman Pasta Tasting is one of a kind! I mean coming to Rome, and getting to sample the 4 musts all in one meal is like a taking a jump start into your Roman vacation. Delicious right? And your favorite? (Mine is gricia). Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about your time with us! We really appreciate it! We hope to have you back with us very very soon! Arrivederci, Benedetta

Can't recommend enough!
Francesca was wonderfully knowledgable and friendlier than you can imagine. We had an excellent time walking through Trastevere. The cheeses (parmigiano and pecorino) and meats (guanciale and prosciutto) that started the tour were delicious and the shop owner was so kind and welcoming. The 4 pastas and the wine we had with them were exquisite and Francesca explained how each of the pastas was made. We ended the evening with some of the tastiest gelato in Rome. The food was tantalizing, the company was enchanting, and I was full by the end of the tour. Absolutely worth the money! Not too much walking, plenty of food.
Response from the operator: Dear Brittany, Francesca, parmigiano, pecorino, guanciale, prosciutto, wine, the 4 Roman pastas and then gelato!!! What an AMAZING mix right??? I am so happy to read that you had such a great time. Francesca is extremily passionate (as you probaly noticed yourself) about food, and her personality just sparks joy. To this, you add all that deliciousness and you do get a magical evening. And I could not be happier! Grazie for taking the time to write such a lovely review and for sharing all this on Trip Advisor. I really really appreciate it!

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
4 Roman Pastas Tasting Tour in Rome: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.
How much does 4 Roman Pastas Tasting Tour in Rome cost?
+
Prices start at $77 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 4 Roman Pastas Tasting Tour in Rome take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.
Is 4 Roman Pastas Tasting Tour in Rome worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 4 Roman Pastas Tasting Tour in Rome?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 4 Roman Pastas Tasting Tour in Rome suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 4 Roman Pastas Tasting Tour in Rome?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 4 Roman Pastas Tasting Tour in Rome start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rome?
+
Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rome?
+
April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rome?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
