The deep waters of the Atlantic Ocean await you! Live a day like no other with this fishing tour off the coast of the Dominican Republic. The tropical currents of the Atlantic and the Caribbean gather schools of bait and fish around the coasts, making these places a paradise for sport fishing. You will experience amazing trolling style fishing which is rig dragging. The fishing rods will remain in the safety holes until a fish bites, meanwhile you will enjoy the mesmerizing natural beauty of the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Depending on the season you will be able to fish for species such as: goldfish, barracuda, needlefish, white marlin, blue marlin, wahoo, among many others! Punta Cana is one of the best places to fish for marlins; in 2016 it was ranked second in the Billfish Report. It's no wonder why this is one of the best places to go looking for big fish.

Disappointed
They canceled on us two days in a row. The first day we were in the van to pick up someone else who didn’t show and then they canceled. 2nd time the seas were too rough so they couldn’t take us out. Never got to do it.
Response from the operator: "Dear guest, Safety First: Why Weather Conditions Matter for Deep Sea Fishing. We sincerely apologize for your disappointment. Your safety is always our top priority. On August 15th and 16th, all fishing charters across Punta Cana were completely grounded due to severe weather and unsafe sea conditions. We also apologize for the delay during pickup on the first day. We hope to welcome you back under better weather conditions."

100% recommended Excellence Experience
An excellent experience! The service was impeccable from start to finish. Both the staff on board and the captain proved to be extremely professional, attentive, and knowledgeable about the area. As an avid fishing enthusiast, I thoroughly enjoyed the trip, and luckily, we managed to catch two mahi-mahi. This tour is highly recommended for those seeking quality service and a first-class experience."
Response from the operator: Dear family, Thank you for your review! We are thrilled to hear you had an excellent experience on our 4 Hour Punta Cana Fishing Tour. It's great to know our captain and crew provided top-notch service, and congrats on catching those two mahi-mahi! We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back on board soon! Warm regards,

Do not use this fishing charter, unless you just don’t wants to go fishing
The charter was supposed to pick me up at 7 AM, then they sent an email that said they would be picking me up at 45 outside of my hotel at the main entrance. So right outside of my hotel lobby at the main entrance I waited for about an for them, then received a text message stating that they we’re waiting outside the main security gate for the entire resort complex. But they let me know this after they already left. So I did not get to go on a charter fishing trip that I had booked. I would highly recommend not using this charter for fishing. They do not communicate well at all. This was going to be the highlight of my trip to Punta Cana. It sucks. They did refund my money though.
Response from the operator: Committed to Punctuality and Quality Customer Service. Dear Michael Carson, We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. However, we feel that your review does not accurately reflect the events that took place. As per our prior communication, we contacted you the day before to confirm your pickup at 7:45 a.m., which you acknowledged. Unfortunately, you were not at the agreed-upon meeting point at the scheduled time. Our team is responsible for adhering to the itinerary to ensure service for our other waiting guests; therefore, we cannot wait longer than 10 minutes. Even though the inconvenience resulted from your delay, our company extended the courtesy of providing a full refund, as you mentioned in your review. We value punctuality and respect for all our passengers' time, and we kindly ask our clients to collaborate with this commitment.

Good day on the boat
I would highly recommend this tour with a few caveats. If you suffer from motion sickness like me please take medication like Dramamine or motion sickness medicine. I had the patches and I still got sea sick but when the Draminine kicked in I was fine. The boat will be moving the entire time and they put the lines in the water. So there is no stopping. We caught barracuda and mahi mahi. Please be aware that you have to ask to keep the fish. I did not know this because in my culture it is automatic that the fish gets split between everyone. This is not the case. I had to ask the driver to get the mahi mahi that I caught and he was able to do so without issue. Afterwards, we used the fish we caught and the store cooked it for us. Overall is was a great time and I would do it again.
Response from the operator: Dear Jenna, Thank you for your honest and thoughtful review! 🎣🌊 We’re very happy to hear you enjoyed the experience, caught barracuda and mahi mahi, and had a great day on the water. We also appreciate your comments regarding motion sickness and the fish distribution, as they help future guests better prepare for the tour. We’re glad our team was able to assist you and make sure you received your catch. Thank you again for choosing Turcana Tours — we hope to welcome you back soon! ☀️🐟 Esteban Mejia

Why this scores 46
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
4 Hour Punta Cana Fishing Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.
How much does 4 Hour Punta Cana Fishing Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $97 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 4 Hour Punta Cana Fishing Tour take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.
Is 4 Hour Punta Cana Fishing Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 46 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 35 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 4 Hour Punta Cana Fishing Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 4 Hour Punta Cana Fishing Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 4 Hour Punta Cana Fishing Tour?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 4 Hour Punta Cana Fishing Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?
+
On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Punta Cana?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
