    About this experience

There is no better way to explore the Valleys of Cappadocia than on the back of a horse. After all: Cappadocia's Old Persian Name is Katpatuka, which means "Land of the Beautiful Horses". Our horses are all of full Arabian breed. They have either been born with us or have worked as racing horses before (Elif and Eylül are champions!) and are now enjoying their retirement in Cappadocia. We make it our business that all of our horses go for a walk on their tours rather than work. Their limits are not pushed. Our misson is that we respect the individual needs of all our horses. Your and their safety and well-being is all that matters to us. +++ Please note that we have a weight limit of 90 Kilos per guest. This is important to ensure the safety of our guests and our horses. If there are any issues concerning this, please feel free to contact us +++

The Best Way to See Cappadocia

I highly recommend this tour. In just four hours, I saw more of Cappadocia than I did on a six-day hiking trip. The route covers an incredible amount of ground - sword valley, love valley, red valley, rose valley, and more I am forgetting. You visit the major viewpoints, including the love valley overlook and Uçhisar Castle, but the real highlight is getting off the beaten path and into the valleys themselves. We rode through areas with very few other people and were able to experience the landscape up close rather than just viewing it from crowded overlooks. We also stopped at two beautiful rock-cut churches, Cross Church and White Church, and had both entirely to ourselves. There is also something magical about riding up to these ancient churches on a horse. The guide was excellent, and happy to stop and take plenty of photos along the way. Even if there had been no scenery at all, the horseback riding itself would have been worth the very reasonable price. The horses were beautiful, well cared for, and clearly not overworked. As an experienced rider, I also appreciated that they were willing to allow a more advanced ride. Whether you're a rider or simply looking for an efficient and memorable way to see Cappadocia, this tour is an outstanding value and one of the best experiences I had in the region.

    Absolutely recommendable!:)

We did this four-hour ride a few days ago. At first we were skeptical, as there were no reviews yet. Since we are so overwhelmed by this great experience, we can't help but leave the first review here. Picking up by car was punctual and smooth, in a few minutes drive from Göreme we arrived at the stable. The horses were already saddled and we were warmly welcomed by both our guide and very happy-looking dogs, cats and of course horses. Although our guide spoke only broken English, despite the language barrier, you could communicate well. Our riding experience was asked in advance, after a short period of getting used to it we felt extremely comfortable with the horses selected for us. It was a beautiful ride in a small group with many units at trot and gallop. We had some very nice stops to visit special features of the area or have a drink. Our guide was always very friendly and often offered to take photos and even and video of the riding he sent us afterwards. All in all: definitely a very special experience, very nice people and definitely recommended!

How long does 4-Hour-Horsebackriding-Tour through Cappadocia take?

    +

How far in advance should I book 4-Hour-Horsebackriding-Tour through Cappadocia?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Goreme and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Goreme?

    +

On Outty we rank every Goreme experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Red (North) Tour Cappadocia (small group) with lunch and tickets, Green (South) Tour Cappadocia (small group) with lunch and ticket, Cappadocia Green Tour - Classic Route (Popular). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Goreme?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Goreme?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
