Great Tour and Guide

Our amazing guide Yassin took us on a four day/three night tour from Marrakech, Mergouza, Fes, to Chefchaouen. The trip was filled with stops to view beautiful scenery, sample delicious local snacks and fresh fruits, learn about historical sites, and take photos of once in a lifetime experiences. But the best part was how our guide made us feel like we were family and friends hanging out for the week!

Response from the operator: thank you for trusting us with your trip. It was a true honor to accompany you in the desert. Our priority is to ensure your safety and help you make the most of every moment. We would love to welcome you back for another adventure in Morocco.

Beautiful experience!

We had the best time on this tour! It is a wonderful way to see many different places in Morocco. It is a beautiful country with kind and generous people. Our guide Yassin was the best. He really made us feel very comfortable and did a great job providing explanations and insight into many pieces of Moroccan culture. He exceeded all expectations. He made us feel like family and really showed us what a generous people there are in this world. The tour felt very personal and tailored. We saw so many places we would have felt awkward doing on our own. I traveled with my mom so it was just us two women and not once did that feel strange or unsafe. I can’t recommend this tour and especially Yassin enough. Must do!!

Rough it , Dahara beautiful!!

Something to do & a wonderful experience, IF guide is excellent. Moustafa , the 22 year old young guide we had for sunset ride, was excellent, genuine bright & cheery, helpful in contrast to the next days “sunrise ride”. Man was grumpy, only interested in dragging us straight to the drop off. Missed sunrise totally- he could have stopped anywhere for few minutes, sky was bright, most of sun over a short dune up, stopped with us on the camels for all of under 2 minutes. Then led us through a trash site that no other riders went. Then asked for a tip . Camp had cats sitting on tables, food laying out on tables had lots of flies. Communal Bathrooms & showers could be way better. No locks worked, shower had none. No soap or shampoo, all open to men & women. Have to be undress/dress in room, drape in towel to head to the outside showers.

Response from the operator: 🌟 "Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review!" We are so grateful for your kind words and delighted to hear that you enjoyed your experience with us. Exciting desert experience

We had an amazing experience. The star of our journey was our driver Moha who was a very good driver. He always had a smile or a joke to keep us entertained. The first hotel in Tinghir was alright. Our first trek into the desert was an awesome experience, our guide Mustafa was fantastic. The desert camp was an experience and it would have been better if the staff checked and cleaned the toilets on a regular basis. The tour company Morocco Global Adventure sent us an inaccurate itinerary. It stated 3 breakfasts and 3 dinners. However, the riad in Fes said no dinner included. Our driver Moha phoned the office and the riad to rectify the situation. The next group of tourists who have Moha as a driver are the lucky ones!

Great way to see the country in a short space of time

This tour is a very good way to see a large amount of Morocco. I'd recommend it for anyone wanting to take in the varied landscape across the country in a short amount of time! Incredible value for money to cover such a distance. From towering high altitude drives through the Atlas Mountains, to dry dessert towns, palm trees that stretch as far as the eye can see, into sandy Sahara dunes and later into more temperate farming lands in the north - this route has it all. Our guide Hassan was a great driver, we always felt safe with very long days behind the wheel and showed us a lot of the country. He allowed us to stop to visit co-ops, have food breaks and to see scenic views. Thank you Hassan! We were lucky there was only the two of us booked on this trip, so we practically had our own private tour. We had a comfort minivan which was immaculately clean and a super comfy and spacious ride. The tour itself was good. Day 1: Pick up was easy in Marrakech communicated via WhatsApp a day prior, later that day travelling along the Tizi n Tichka road (the mountains were so much bigger and impressive than I expected), then onto Ait Ben Haddou where there was a guide arranged to show us around, then lunch. Then onto the stay in Tinghir, hotel was clean and dinner and breakfast set menus included. Day 2: Visit to Todra Gorge with a full guided tour around the farming area and gorge, with a trip to see traditional Berber rugs being made and the opportunity to buy these. Then a drive to Merzouga, where we met up with other tour groups to head to the desert camp. Straight onto a camel, to ride an hour to the desert camp for sunset. The desert camp was good - our guide arranged for a luxury tent (We hadn't been asked on options for this prior which I think maybe we were supposed to - but Hassan very kindly sorted a luxury tent for us) which was spacious, clean, cosy with it's own private bathroom with shower. We had a simple 3 course set dinner again then everyone was invited to listen to drums around the fire. Day 3: Great sleep in the dunes, a small breakfast, and back onto our camel early for sunrise. The guides stop to allow for a break to watch the sun break over the dunes which was incredible! We then drove back through the Atlas Mountains (another crazy drive with insane views) and onto the high altitude flats, stopping in the town of Ifrane (looked like Northern Europe), then the monkey forest. There are monkeys here you can see in their natural habitat. Bring some small change to pay for snacks offered by men on the road if you'd like to feed them, as we ended up paying a lot for this due to having no small change!. Then onto Fes. We stayed in Riad Fes Madaw in the Medina, gorgeous with a great roof terrace. Day 4: Lovely breakfast here then we were picked up for a full guided tour of Fes. Our guide was very knowledgable and knew the city very well with lots of info. If you have the option to visit the ceramics factory, do it! It makes you appreciate all of hard work that goes into the goods for sale all over Morocco. After this we ended with the drive to Chefchaouen, taking us through the scenic Rif mountains and a lot of farming land - dropping us off to meet staff from our Riad at sunset. You can expect to spend approx 100 euros per person on guides, lunch each day and drinks across the tour - plus anything else you want to buy. Most places accepted card here, with the opportunity to stop for cash if you wanted. The food is quite simple - buffet spreads for breakfast, and 3 course set menus for lunch and dinner with mostly traditional moroccan plates made to cater to big tour groups. It's a very laidback trip without strict times etc, with a lot of driving between places (covered approx 800 miles in the 4 days!) so prepare to go with the flow. We didn't receive much information prior to the trip - I think it would be helpful to confirm a more specific itinerary and to confirm which hotels you are staying in etc before the tour begins etc for those who like to be a little more organised. The food and places to stay are not particularly luxurious when compared to the likes of Marrakech, but they are all clean, comfortable and do the job! We slept great and definitely were never hungry! If you want to see a lot of the country in a small amount of time - this is the trip for you. Also - Chefchaouen is 100% worth a couple of days to visit! We loved it there - very laidback relaxed vibe with good food.

Response from the operator: Hello, we are very grateful and appreciate that you took the time to share your rating with us. us, will help us continue our work and improve it. The satisfaction and happiness of our Customers is our goal. Sincerely, Morocco Global Adventures Team

4 Days Trip From Marrakech to Chefchaouen via the Sahara: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.

How much does 4 Days Trip From Marrakech to Chefchaouen via the Sahara cost?

+

Prices start at $500 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 4 Days Trip From Marrakech to Chefchaouen via the Sahara take?

+

Plan for about 96 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.

Is 4 Days Trip From Marrakech to Chefchaouen via the Sahara worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 4 Days Trip From Marrakech to Chefchaouen via the Sahara?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 4 Days Trip From Marrakech to Chefchaouen via the Sahara suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 96-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 4 Days Trip From Marrakech to Chefchaouen via the Sahara?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 4 Days Trip From Marrakech to Chefchaouen via the Sahara start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Marrakech?

+

On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, From Marrakech To Essaouira Mogador Full Day Trip | Small-group, Agafay Desert Package, Quad Bike, Camel Ride and Dinner Show. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Marrakech?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Marrakech?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
