About this experience

At its peak in the early 16th century, Hampi was one of the wealthiest cities in the world — larger than Rome, its bazaars described by Portuguese traders as the most magnificent they had ever seen. Badami, Aihole and Pattadakal were the successive Chalukya capitals where craftsmen invented the grammar of the Indian stone temple. Pattadakal UNESCO holds the queen-commissioned Virupaksha Temple built in 745 AD to celebrate a victory over the Pallavas. This 4 day Hampi Badami tour from Bangalore covers both dynasties — Vittala Temple stone chariot, musical pillars, Royal Enclosure, coracle on the Tungabhadra, Badami cave temples and Aihole architecture school. Private car, expert guide all 4 days, entry fees and 3 nights accommodation included. 5 Senses Tours is recognised by the Department of Tourism, a winner of the Outlook Responsible Tourism Award and the Tripadvisor Travellers Choice Award.

Excellent tour, well organised & guided.

The 4 day hampi was well organised & adjusted to our particular needs. The guide, lakshmi, did a great job relating information & adding extra knowledge from her local background. The driver, anthony, met us at the airport & did all driving very well with good humour. Lakshmi has written a book on hampi that assisted in providing extra information that would not be common.

Do not miss Hampi!

5 senses organized a private tour with Thippesh (driver), Rajesh (Hampi guide) and Chandru (Badami/Pattadakal guide). Everything went really well. We had last minute changes to our itinerary - Rajesh was very accommodating with all the changes, super knowledgeable guide too. It felt safe with Thippesh's driving as well - it is not a given in India. All in all I had a wonderful experience. Our trip to Hampi / Badami was a grand success, thanks to the wonderful driver & guides organized by 5 senses!

Response from the operator: I am glad you enjoyed Hampi in the company of Rajesh and Thippesh. Thanks for taking the time to review this tour. It was our pleasure hosting you.

Nice trip to Badami and Hampi

Nice tour to Badami Caves and Hampi temples. Knowledgeable guides and a very friendly driver. The road grip from Bengaluru to Badami is about 8 hours by car, it looks long but it is an opportunity to see the mainland and it gives view a better overview of India.

Response from the operator: I am glad you enjoyed Badami and Hampi. Thanks for taking the time to review this tour. It was our pleasure hosting you.

Hampi 4 day tour

Driver Mohan was smartly turned out. Car immaculate everyday. Provided us with water everyday. Smooth driving. Checked we had water before setting off to explore. Introduced us to local tea and coffee at stops Very courteous knowledgeable and informative. Trustworthy, attentive but not intrusive Trip with Rajesh: lovely guide, good English. Gave loads of background information including about the gods and goddesses. Very knowledgeable. Didn’t rush us When guiding checked we had water. Found good toilet stops. Gave information while driving as well as when walking round. Day 3 at Badami: English was ok. Knowledgeable but really just got facts, no background information Hotels Had booked twin rooms but got double ones so had to be moved. Hotel in Badami made a nice change from city hotels. Very pleasant staff.

4 days tour from Bangalore to Hampi, Badami, Aihole & Pattadakal: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangalore.

How much does 4 days tour from Bangalore to Hampi, Badami, Aihole & Pattadakal cost?

+

Prices start at $550 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangalore usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 4 days tour from Bangalore to Hampi, Badami, Aihole & Pattadakal take?

+

Plan for about 96 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangalore is not rushed.

Is 4 days tour from Bangalore to Hampi, Badami, Aihole & Pattadakal worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 23 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Bangalore, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 4 days tour from Bangalore to Hampi, Badami, Aihole & Pattadakal?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 144 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 4 days tour from Bangalore to Hampi, Badami, Aihole & Pattadakal suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 96-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 4 days tour from Bangalore to Hampi, Badami, Aihole & Pattadakal?

+

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangalore can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangalore and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 4 days tour from Bangalore to Hampi, Badami, Aihole & Pattadakal start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangalore within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bangalore?

+

On Outty we rank every Bangalore experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Old to New Bangalore Day Tour: Lalbagh, Temple, Market & Palace, Bangalore city tour with English guide & multi language support, Best of Mysore, UNESCO Somnathpur Temple & Srirangapatna Day Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bangalore?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bangalore?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
