    Enjoying Morocco

For years we were thinking about going to Morocco for vacation but we were postponing it. Basically because we were a bit afraid of organizing a family trip with 3 children, two of them teenagers, in a country that we knew that it is quite different from those we are use to live or to visit. This year we decided to do it thanks to the positive experience of a friend. We hired the company of which he spoke so well: Sahara Desert Crew: What a great decision! We toured much of Morocco for 10 days, from Essaouira in the sea to the desert. We went to Marrakech, Fez, Rabat, Chefchaouen, Merzouga and many other beautifull places. Youssef was in charge of organizing the hotel reservations (mostly spectacular Riads or mansions converted into small hotels located amid the medieval cities), local guides in cities, archaeological sites or in the desert where we slept one night. He was the one who met us at the airport of Marrakech, drove us all the time in his excellent 4x4 and dropped us off at the airport of Casablanca. Youssef was our guide and companion all the while making us feel comfortable, safe and calm while we were getting to know this wonderful country, so interesting for its architecture, its spectacular and so special landscapes, its culture and its people. He always had the flexibility to adapt himself to our times without skipping to show us the prettiest places. During our travel time we learned and enjoyed chatting with him about the history, customs, beliefs, music, lifestyle and feel how the different ethnic groups that inhabit the country: Berber, Arabic, etc., feeling that we were getting to know the country deeply. Youssef was always aware of our needs, never lost his composure and warmth, his very special way to be friendly and helpful made us to enjoy this holiday a lot: certainly were unforgettable.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your incredible journey with us! We're delighted you chose Sahara Desert Crew for your family adventure through Morocco. It's wonderful to hear Youssef made your trip comfortable and memorable. We hope these unforgettable moments stay with you for years to come. Warm regards!

    An awesome trip!

My brother and I were planning to visit Morocco for a long time! Since we did not know what to expect, on any level, we decided to take a private driver that will be with us throughout the trip, including picking us up from the airport and dropping us back at the airport. We did not want to join a group since we wanted to have the flexibility and visit places we wanted to visit that most groups are less interested in. We checked for drivers online and we were the luckiest to find Ibrahim!!! from the first contact with him, we realized he is a great guy. Very professional, very pleasant and most importantly, very trustworthy. We communicated via Whatsapp the itinerary, the possible dates to travel, costs and all other details that we needed to be covered He was always available and more than willing to help us. We decided to travel in March 2023, for 10 days and it was awesome on all levels!!! Ibrahim was great and VERY helpful, each time we needed his opinion or help. The weather was pleasant and the amazing places that he recommend and visited. The drive from Fes to Marrakech via the Sahara desert was beautiful and very different from other scenery we have seen in different parts of the world. The Sahara was very amazing and we had a fantastic time at the Sahara with the team that welcomed us and took care of our needs while staying there. We stayed at the Deluxe tent which was beautiful and comfortable. The food was great and the people who served us were just a delight. The entertainment at night was very unique and fun. They played the drums and sang songs and everybody got to participate. The drive to Marrakech and Marrakech were beautiful and very interesting. Lots to do there. I can go on an on about this trip, but the person who made it so successful was Ibrahim. You want a trustworthy, a very polite and a pleasant person like Ibrahim!

Response from the operator: Dear Raquel, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful experience with Ibrahim as your private driver during your trip to Morocco. We are thrilled to hear that Ibrahim's professionalism, pleasant demeanor, and trustworthiness contributed to making your journey truly unforgettable. Thank you once again for choosing Ibrahim as your private driver and for sharing your amazing adventure with us. We look forward to welcoming you back for more unforgettable experiences in the future! Warm regards,

    Amazing experience

We booked a four-day tour from fez to Marrakech. I highly recommend this tour because it allows you to linger a little longer in the desert area than other standard tours. The company was efficient and quick in their responses and booking support. We spent the nights in standard but comfortable hotels. We really liked the terrace of Tifawen hotel. The real strength of the company was our driver, youssef. Our driver youssef proved to be one of the best people I have ever met in Morocco. He was attentive to every little detail and Request, kind and never intrusive. He is a very cultured person and speaks five languages perfectly. He was born in this land and really knows it very well: he will give you information about geography, history, botany, traditions especially related to the Berber people. Feel free to ask questions to him because he literally knows every things about the villages you will pass through. He taught us so much and pointed out things that we would never have seen on our own. Since there are many hours of driving on this tour, I can confirm that his presence did not make the trip tiring and that he can read situations perfectly and accommodate your needs.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for sharing such a detailed and thoughtful review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the four-day tour from Fes to Marrakech and that the extra time in the desert made the experience even more special for you. We also appreciate your kind words about our communication and the accommodations, and we’re glad you enjoyed the Tifawen Hotel. Your comments about Youssef mean a great deal. He will be truly honored to know how much you valued his knowledge, kindness, and attention to every detail. His passion for his land and culture is something he loves to share, and we’re glad it enriched your journey in such a meaningful way. Thank you again for your trust and recommendation. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back on another tour in Morocco. Warm regards, Sahara Desert Crew Team

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
