Really disappointed was looking forward to this and did not meet expectations
I was really looking forward to this tour and I’m really disappointed this has been such a poor experience. The company that runs this tour has their own ‘four star’ hotel chain that they put you in. For our trip we weren’t allowed to use the pool as part of the first class experience. Given other members of our group were booked in other hotels close to the villiage and with pool access, I’m unsure as to why the same thing were not offered to those who chose the first class experience. Given its the same company, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect they would know the property was being rented out for a wedding. Our dinner was also impacted by the significant amount of guests (later at night & the nice seating was unavailable). The rooms had no soundproofing and the beds were uncomfortable. They also booked me in a single bed. I reached out to customer service and have been contacted by Stavros Stathakos who did not offer any apology or compensation. I don’t think the service is as advertised and will continue to seek compensation.
Response from the operator: Dear Annalise, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to learn that your hotel experience did not meet your personal expectations. We would like to clarify that the accommodation provided was at Amalia Olympia, a 4-star hotel, in accordance with the accommodation category advertised for the tour. The swimming pool and its operating hours are managed exclusively by the hotel and are not a guaranteed inclusion of the tour package. On this particular occasion, the hotel's facilities were affected by a private event, which we understand may have caused inconvenience. We also note that your review does not refer to the guided tour itself, the itinerary, the visits to the archaeological sites, or the services provided throughout the four-day program. The tour was operated as advertised and all included sightseeing services were provided. Regarding the accommodation, while we regret that you found the bed and soundproofing unsatisfactory, individual comfort and personal preferences may vary. The room provided was within the advertised 4-star accommodation category. Please also note that accommodation arrangements may vary between participants depending on availability and operational requirements. Our Customer Service team responded to your messages and explained our position regarding your compensation request. We regret that our response did not meet your expectations; however, as the advertised tour services and accommodation category were provided, we were unable to offer a refund on this basis. We appreciate your feedback and are sorry that, despite the tour being operated as planned, your overall experience was affected by your dissatisfaction with certain aspects of the hotel stay. Kind regards, Hara Kritikidou CHAT TOURS

Our unforgettable Greece Experience
My partner and I had a memorable experience. Our tour guide, Jordan, was knowledgeable and very friendly. Our driver was also very professional.

Amazing!
Stathi was so informative and interesting. He always made sure we knew everything there was to know about Greek history and art. The bus journeys were long, but there was WiFi and Stathi narrated a lot of what was around. There were stops for bathroom and snacks. All in all an amazing experience!!

Excellent Way to Tour Greece
My husband and I took the four-day Classical Greece Tour with Chat Tours 23 years ago, and the wonderful memories stayed with us all these years. This summer, when our daughter wanted to visit Greece, we didn't hesitate to book the same tour again with Chat Tours, and it did not disappoint. Our guide, Valeria, was absolutely amazing, and our driver, Thenasis, was equally outstanding. The four-day itinerary was perfectly planned, and our stays at the Amalia Hotels were very nice. Everything was well organized from start to finish. We highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience the highlights of classical Greece.

Why this scores 80
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
4-Day Classical Greece Tour: Epidaurus, Mycenae, Olympia, Delphi, Meteora: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.
How much does 4-Day Classical Greece Tour: Epidaurus, Mycenae, Olympia, Delphi, Meteora cost?
+
Prices start at $515 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 4-Day Classical Greece Tour: Epidaurus, Mycenae, Olympia, Delphi, Meteora take?
+
Plan for about 96 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.
Is 4-Day Classical Greece Tour: Epidaurus, Mycenae, Olympia, Delphi, Meteora worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 754 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 4-Day Classical Greece Tour: Epidaurus, Mycenae, Olympia, Delphi, Meteora?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 4-Day Classical Greece Tour: Epidaurus, Mycenae, Olympia, Delphi, Meteora suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 96-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 4-Day Classical Greece Tour: Epidaurus, Mycenae, Olympia, Delphi, Meteora?
+
Around 264 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 4-Day Classical Greece Tour: Epidaurus, Mycenae, Olympia, Delphi, Meteora start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Athens?
+
On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Athens?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Athens?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
