It is one of our most favorite explorations, you will have the opportunity to observe wildlife in the Tamshiyacu-Tahuayo Reserve, you will observe a great variety of birds, you will learn about medicinal plants and the way of life of the Amazonian Communities. You will explore this pristine and remote Amazon Rainforest with our jungle guides (private) to observe birds (there are more than 500 types of birds in our area), pink and gray dolphins, sloths, caimans, capybaras, monkeys (there are more than 10 species in our area), frogs, snakes, giant trees and medicinal plants. Some activities in the jungle include hiking, boat excursion, canoeing, sport fishing, visits to the local community, swimming near dolphins in the Amazon River, medicinal plant tour, Full Day and Survival in primary jungle.

Unforgettable experience
They were incredible days, the organization, the transfer, the lodge were very good. The food, although there was not much variety, was all very good. The staff is very friendly. The guide Marden was very professional, pleasant, and helpful; he treated us very well and it was clear that he knew a lot about the environment. The locals César and Jenfor also accompanied us on the outings. We saw all kinds of animals, and the environment was spectacular. We went to visit a village that lived there, and the night boat trips were amazing. A suggestion: for the "rest" times at the lodge between outings, you could do some activity at the lodge, such as cooking classes, games, etc.

The rhythm of the jungle
The experience begins from the moment they pick you up in Iquitos until they return you there. At all times you have your personalized guide with you explaining everything you are going to do, transfers to the Lodge (van, boat, etc.), excursions (by boat, on foot, daytime/nighttime, fishing, swimming in the Amazon, etc.). In our case, we were with Marden, a lovely person, and with extensive experience as a guide; it is incredible how he takes care of you and the dedication he puts into his work. Thanks to him, we were able to see an infinity of animals (parrots, eagles, vultures, tarantulas, frogs, lizards, piranhas, dolphins, capybaras, monkeys, and a long etc...). Marden also showed us a nearby native community so we could see how people live in the jungle, where time passes at a different speed. Thanks to the entire Lodge team for making us feel at home. Special mention to the boatmen César and Jhenfor, always ready to take you on their excursion boats.

Extraordinary immersive adventure in the Amazon rainforest
My friend Priscillia and I spent an unforgettable three-day stay at the end of August 2026. We particularly thank our guides Harley and Daniel, who helped us discover the local flora and fauna, in complete safety and with a great deal of educational insight. We also thank the thoughtful and attentive staff team. I recommend it with my eyes closed, for an extraordinary immersive experience in the Amazonian tropical jungle. My friend Priscillia and I enjoyed an unforgettable three-day stay at the end of August 2026. We want to especially thank our guides, Harley and Daniel, who introduced us to the local flora and fauna safely and with great skill. We also thank the attentive and helpful staff. I highly recommend this trip to live an extraordinary immersive experience in the Amazon rainforest.

A Perfect Stay in the Heart of the Jungle
I had a truly wonderful time at Curassow Amazon Lodge! The whole experience was made special thanks to the fantastic staff and excellent organization from start to finish. The food was delicious and served in generous portions, and the atmosphere throughout the lodge was very pleasant and welcoming. I also enjoyed meeting many friendly fellow travelers during my stay. Having WiFi available was a lovely added bonus too. The rainforest excursions were a real highlight — nicely spaced throughout the day and always engaging. A special mention goes to my two guides, Antonio and Daniel, incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and passionate about what they do. All in all, I can only recommend Curassow Amazon Lodge to anyone visiting the Iquitos area. Warm greetings to the host, Martin — thank you for everything!

Once in a lifetime experience
An amazing unforgettable few days in the Amazon! We did the 4 days tour with Alex as our guide (he was brilliant). It’s hard to sum up the experience in a short review, but it was truly once in a lifetime experience. We saw so many animals in their natural habitat and loved our days and nights exploring the river.
