    Busy day in Dominican

Too much to try and do In one day. Monkeys were amazing . Waterfall was a good hike but nice . Buggies are not recommended. Guide took lots of pics

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your experience and for joining us! We’re very happy to hear that you loved the monkeys and enjoyed the hike to the waterfall. Our 3-in-1 adventure is designed for guests who want to experience several of Puerto Plata’s top activities in one exciting day, so we understand that it can feel like a full and active itinerary. The waterfall portion does involve a hike, as described in the tour details, and we always recommend comfortable shoes and a readiness for a little adventure. We’re sorry to hear that the buggy experience was not your favorite, as we know every guest has different preferences. On the positive side, we’re glad our guide was able to capture lots of photos so you could take home great memories from your day! Thank you again for your feedback. We truly appreciate it and hope to welcome you back for another adventure in the Dominican Republic! 🇩🇴

    Be careful

The best part of this excursion was the monkeys. I cannot recommend the waterfall or the buggies. The walk to the waterfall is about a mile and the terrain in rocky and rough. I only wanted to swim at the waterfall but the guide insisted that go up the ladder and do the slide. It was not a good experience because I got hurt. So please be careful.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience and for highlighting the monkeys—we’re very happy to know that you enjoyed that part of the excursion. We’re sorry to hear that you got hurt at the waterfalls. However, we would also like to clarify a few important points for future guests. The waterfall portion is described in the reservation as an outdoor hiking and adventure experience, and the approximately 1-mile walk involves natural, rocky, and uneven terrain. Because this is a natural park, some physical activity and walking are required to reach the waterfalls. Regarding the slide, we always want our guests to enjoy the experience at a level they feel comfortable with. Swimming and participating in the adventure activities can depend on the specific areas and safety instructions at the time, and guests should never feel pressured to do something beyond their comfort level. We will nevertheless review this with our team to ensure these options and instructions are communicated as clearly as possible. We truly appreciate your feedback and are glad you enjoyed the monkeys. We’re sorry that the waterfall and buggy portions did not meet your personal expectations, and we hope you are feeling better after your injury. Thank you again for sharing your experience.

Best Tour Guides and Excursions EVER!

Frank and Eddie were both amazing guides! Eddie got the best pictures and videos of us and was a joy to hang out with all day! He helped us along on all our fun excursions. We made great time getting to all our excursions. It was such a fun experience and we made so many fun memories together. I would definitely recommend booking with them because, it was so fun and priced so well. Can’t recommend enough!

    Fun on port day

Driver and photographer are great. Communicative and friendly. Had a wonderful time. The waterfalls were small but mighty. Definitely don’t bring any belongings as each slide you’re completely being submerged into water. Was great be aware the hike is 35 ish minutes and you’re doing stairs and uphill. Bring water shoes that aren’t strappy as the water pressure will bust them, speaking from experience lol 😆 The monkeys were such a wonderful experience as well you get some down time to just be face to face with them. The buggies are short and sweet but a good time if you’re wanting to get muddy and have fun. We loved it all. Pay for the photos, Eddie captured all the moments I wished I could have had…worked out perfect

    Would recommend!

My boyfriend and I booked this tour to experience all three excursions in one day, and it was absolutely worth it. Our driver, Juan, was amazing—kind, helpful, and attentive. He made sure we were comfortable and having fun, which we really appreciated. We genuinely enjoyed every part of the experience. The waterfalls were beautiful, and we were able to do all three jumps. At Monkeyland, Chandler was our guide and was very knowledgeable. The monkeys were adorable, and we also got to see and interact with several other animals on the property. The ATV ride was a lot of fun, and the staff there were friendly and welcoming. Everyone at the excursions made sure my boyfriend and I got pictures, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Puerto Plata!

3x1: Monkeyland Waterfalls and Buggy Tour Puerto Plata: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Plata.

How much does 3x1: Monkeyland Waterfalls and Buggy Tour Puerto Plata cost?

    +

Prices start at $185 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Plata usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 3x1: Monkeyland Waterfalls and Buggy Tour Puerto Plata take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Plata is not rushed.

Is 3x1: Monkeyland Waterfalls and Buggy Tour Puerto Plata worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 26 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Plata, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 3x1: Monkeyland Waterfalls and Buggy Tour Puerto Plata?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 3x1: Monkeyland Waterfalls and Buggy Tour Puerto Plata suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 3x1: Monkeyland Waterfalls and Buggy Tour Puerto Plata?

    +

Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Plata can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Plata and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 3x1: Monkeyland Waterfalls and Buggy Tour Puerto Plata start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Plata within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Puerto Plata?

    +

On Outty we rank every Puerto Plata experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Monkeyland and Zipline Adventure from Puerto Plata, Monkeyland Puerto Plata, Puerto Plata Highlights City Tours from amber cove and Taino bay. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Puerto Plata?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Puerto Plata?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
