3 day Cameron highlands tour from KL to Penang
We started the tour in Kl, Ariff our guide was on time at pick up and we shared this experience with 3 other couples who were on the same tour . Ariff was at all times a happy and thoughtful person who was very knowledgeable in all aspects of the tour history. He was most helpful when hotel bookings got mixed up but he always contacted his office and got things sorted out. We could not have asked for a better guide Thank you Ariff we really enjoyed it.
Response from the operator: Dear Ruth C, Thank you for taking the time to review our services, we are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your round trip and we look forward to welcoming you back to Malaysia the near future.

This tour was jam packed with sightseeing and was very informative. The bus driver was excellent at getting us safely through the winding roads of the highlands. My only complaint, was on the second and third days there was no lunch stop which we weren't aware of, so I recommend taking snacks. Otherwise a nice overview of of the highlands and Penang, the coffee shop on the last day was great, with all the different flavoured coffees for tasting and purchasing.

Our guide wasn't very good - more the type to send you off in the direction of something and wait for you in the car. The Cameron Highlands were good to see but you are sort of stranded at the resort which is lovely! as the town is a bit of hike away and more of a hike uphill back. We did actually get out at Karingsar which was good as the buildings were lovely. Overall it was worth doing as it was easier and cheaper than trying to cover the same ground yourself.

We enjoyed our tour. We especially liked the tea plantation, butterfly gardens and the Kek Lok Si Temple. Some of the other sites, though nice, weren't great and seemed to mostly just break up the long drive. Our tour guide, Morgan, was excellent. He is very knowledgeable and gave us an excellent understanding of Malaysian culture and people. We very much enjoyed getting to know him. I had read horror stories about unsafe tour drivers in the Cameron Highlands. Morgan was an excellent, courteous and very safe driver. Bayview hotel had a nice pool and superb breakfast buffet. The Strawberry Park Resort was fully booked, so we stayed at the Heritage Hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable and an easy walk from restaurants in the town.

Why this scores 53
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
3-Night Cameron Highlands and Penang Tour from Kuala Lumpur: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kuala Lumpur.
How much does 3-Night Cameron Highlands and Penang Tour from Kuala Lumpur cost?
+
Prices start at $652 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kuala Lumpur usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 3-Night Cameron Highlands and Penang Tour from Kuala Lumpur take?
+
Plan for about 96 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kuala Lumpur is not rushed.
Is 3-Night Cameron Highlands and Penang Tour from Kuala Lumpur worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Kuala Lumpur, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3-Night Cameron Highlands and Penang Tour from Kuala Lumpur?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 144 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 3-Night Cameron Highlands and Penang Tour from Kuala Lumpur suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 96-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 3-Night Cameron Highlands and Penang Tour from Kuala Lumpur?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kuala Lumpur can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kuala Lumpur and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3-Night Cameron Highlands and Penang Tour from Kuala Lumpur start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kuala Lumpur within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kuala Lumpur?
+
On Outty we rank every Kuala Lumpur experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sambal Streets Kuala Lumpur Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Genting Highland & Batu Cave Guided Day Tour (SIC/Shared Tour), Private Half-Day Batu Caves and Cutural Tour in Kuala Lumpur. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kuala Lumpur?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kuala Lumpur?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
