Don't miss the Hanoi walking tour with Bo

This was one of our favourite tours of our Vietnam trip! Bo was a fun, and energetic guide. His knowledge of the area and the culture is vast. This is a tour with Bo that we would highly recommend.

“Bo knows” the Hanoi Old quarter.

If you have “Bo” as your guide, you are sure to have a great experience. His knowledge of the area, clear English and easy going sense of humour made the time fly by. We saw many interesting sights and train street was very cool. This tour was good value for the money and time well spent on our vacation. I would recommend it. Dean

Actual places we visited were great, tour guide not so great.

We were due to meet our guide at 5:30 from our hotel. We arrived at 5.27. by 5:38 having informed them we were sat in the lobby, we said no one had arrived. So we actually met our guide at 5:45 We had to wait for a taxi to take us to meet the rest of the group which did not arrive until 6pm. When we met the rest of the group we learned that the tour guide, as now we had been transferred to another chap, had in fact told the group that we were late!! Which was not correct, they should of arranged for us to meet earlier. We were expecting a bit more history than provided but we did go to some really interesting places. We did not experience BhanMi, but less traditional foods. We were taken to train street after we explained we had booked that. We go the feeling the guide was trying to maximise his profit by including less. He was also hung up with our son who is 6ft 5in insisting he was as tall! He showed me how to follow him on instagram so he could send us the details of the places we ate but later blocked me. The tour itself we would recommend as it does take you to some great places we just wished we had stayed with Oli the original guide.

Response from the operator: Sorry, but can you tell me your name and the date of your Hanoi tour? We do not organize Hanoi tour on yesterday

3 Hours Hanoi City Walking Tour with Optional Train Street: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.

How much does 3 Hours Hanoi City Walking Tour with Optional Train Street cost?

    +

Prices start at $13 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 3 Hours Hanoi City Walking Tour with Optional Train Street take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.

Is 3 Hours Hanoi City Walking Tour with Optional Train Street worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 3 Hours Hanoi City Walking Tour with Optional Train Street?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 3 Hours Hanoi City Walking Tour with Optional Train Street suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 3 Hours Hanoi City Walking Tour with Optional Train Street?

    +

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 3 Hours Hanoi City Walking Tour with Optional Train Street start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hanoi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hanoi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hanoi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
