On the panoramic terrace of Sorrento it is possible to admire the most beautiful panorama of the Sorrento Peninsula, it is also possible to visit the cloister and the Church of San Francesco, among the most beautiful in Sorrento. The eighteenth-century church is annexed to the convent building, whose prominent element is the cloister. Do this tour on Day 1 of your visit!
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with the wonderful Iris. She was a veritable font of knowledge and shared so much about Sorrento - history, fascinating facts, artisans, food, drinks and places. Her passion for Sorrento was infectious and definitely rubbed off onto us! We stopped off for various local food and drinks along the way too. Many of the places she took us, we went back to on subsequent days. Iris gave us a wonderful start to exploring the town and we were so pleased we did the tour on day 1 of our visit. We cannot recommend the tour enough - thank you Iris!

The tour gave us the...
The tour gave us the opportunity to orient ourselves in Sorrento and learn about its history. Our guide, Giovanna, was great. The food tasting was the least interesting part of the tour.

Nice walking tour of the City
The walking tour with Giovanna was nice, she went at a good pace and was very knowledgeable about the history of Sorrento. It’s a little misleading, which may have been my mistake, but it’s not a good tour. We did stop for some pastries at the end of the tour, but it’s not a good tasting experience.

+
On Outty we rank every Sorrento experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pizza School with Wine and Limoncello Tasting in a Local Farm, Private Amalfi Coast Day Tour from Sorrento or Naples, Sorrento Farm and Food Experience including Olive Oil, Limoncello, Wine tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sorrento?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sorrento?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
