Fantastic via ferrata on the ridge of the hill behind Omis
We had a great morning out on this via ferrata which offered spectacular views of Omis and the surrounding area. I would recommend this as a good introduction to via ferrata - it's not too difficult but a good head for heights helps. We did this as a family trip with our teenage daughters (16 and 19). We went for the self guided option and met the instructor at the bottom, who gave good instructions on the route and how to use the equipment. We took about 2 hours to get up and 1 hour to walk down. The only thing I would have done differently would be to carry more water - we went on a very hot day!

Amazing trip with cool pictures!
This was an amazing trip! We’ve done a few via ferratas before, but the views here were absolutely unique. It was easy to find our way even without a guide. We also booked the drone photos, and they were definitely worth it. It was so much fun to be able to show everyone how incredible it was up there—especially our parents, who were watching from the ground! 🤣 At the top, we finally got to visit the fortress we had been looking at from the city all week. They were even selling cold Coca-Cola, which tasted amazing after the sweaty climb. The hike back down was steep and slippery—almost more challenging than the climb itself! But as long as you took your time, it was completely manageable. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and we would definitely recommend it!

Great view of Omis and overall good Ferrata experience
Everything was excellent . The guide was very helpful. He suggested to take two big bottles of water and helped carry it since we forgot the backpack. We are still looking for the drone pictures, but the drone was above all the time.

Amazing!
Such an amazing and adventurous experience for us. Ivan gave great instructions on our via Ferrata like up the steep mountain. The views were incredible and overall a nice time for us. Make sure your shoes have good rubber grip especially for both going up and the hike back down!

This was SOLO without a guide!
Not sure if I was supposed to be guided to the top, but I was given the equipment and instructions and left to climb alone, as there was no one else on the tour that day. I could have given up, but my entire summer trip was organized around this via ferrata, so I did the craziest thing and went solo on my first via ferrata ever, without a guide! The via ferrata itself is amazing, and I recommend it. However, I went through unnecessary stress deciding whether to continue alone after being told on the spot that this was the plan.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Split?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Split?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
